Right troops, I have a story to tell, Its a long one, but so funny (sorry edds!) Hope you are happy to post it.
In March my wife and I went to the Arrochar hotel twice for a couple of weekenders (stunning loch view) got pals with a chef and swapped numbers.
A few weeks passed and I got a message on WhatsApp from the chef "J*hn can you lend me £100 and I will pay back £150.
My reply was "do you think am a *rick, I have done work for the wee man, my family have chased drug dealers out of where I stay. I go on holiday in a wee car and not my black Audi, for a reason.
I will lend you £1000, but I will find out where you live first.
He blocked me.
Now am in the Humber pilot in Benidorm chatting with a lovely couple. The guy asked what I did. I told him am a retired chef. He asked where I worked. I told him "The Argyle suit Ibrox" He said a name to me. I said I know him.
I then went on to tell him about the chef in Arrochar. He asked me when I went. I told him when and he gives me a name. I said yip that's him.
He tells me "I told him to bag 400 muscles and the clown put them in the bin" He then goes onto his FB and shows me a pic of him. I said "yip, that's him"
I then told him, take a pic of me and send it to him asking if he knows me.
And all because this soft touch bought him a couple of pints. Small planet!
