Said a couple of times but think Thelo could be a big player for us this season and really kick on. The gaffer also seems to rate him highly. I am guilty myself of judging players far too early. Aasgaard clearly has a lot of talent.

If Aasgaard was playing in that Norwegian league, he'd probably score belters too. RW is my preference. I was hoping to have one by this time, but doesn't look like we will get one before Sunday. Del said 2 in by West Ham. Have we hit the post again? It could happen by Sunday, but it doesn't look likely.

I think McIness is exactly the kind of manager that Thelo needs. Someone to put an arm round his shoulder, make him feel special.

Wishy, I don't think feeling special is his problem. He needs a rocket up his backside most of the time. Hope McInnes can bring it out of him.

If we are still relying on guys like Aasgaard to come good we are in for another hard season. He's had his chances as have others like Diomande, Antman, Miovski, Bajrami etc. They can't do it week to week at the level we need, and cameos in minor games and friendlies don't change that.

Wsl, it's utter nonsense to say he has had his chance. Some players take longer. Give the guy a break.

Aye, I do think we shouldn't be jumping on Aasgaard. With his quality and having Del as manager, we could have a player on our hands. If we just s*** on him all the time - we may never know.
For me, Antman is in a different category with a few others. Plus, he is scared of Ibrox, which I can't believe he actually came out and said that.
It's pathetic. Aasgaard has at least shown something. For example, Antman has shown very little to nothing. The fact Aasgaard could be on a beach right now suggests that maybe he's up for fighting for his place. Del rated him, and if he thinks he's worth it, then I do too. Not picking on Antman, just my example.

Takes some players longer than others to settle at a club like Rangers. Chermiti, probably prime example. Looked like he couldn't hit a barn door until about Jan. Aasgaard has a lot of talent, he just needs to give a bit more in games, in feel, and you've got a great player there.

Aasgaard is as close we have to a proper creative player, massive mistake if we sell him! Loved seeing him throw a few tackles in during the St E. game.

Honestly, I think the fans are the master of our own downfall.
Look at the teams around us that are likely to challenge for the league.
Hearts have lost almost all their important players and their manager, and the ones across the city can't sign anyone.
We have brought in a core of Scottish players that many fans wanted and will be adding a fee promising foreign players.
Already we are writing off our chances with our squad as it is. Get behind them.
Yes, we need to improve in certain areas, but people calling for Tav etc back show that nothing will change.
Trust the process, trust Del, trust AC, and we will be the team players want to join and be the team to beat. Folk already worried for the season ahead need to give their heads a wobble.

Aasgaard's talent isn't the problem. It's his work rate. He lacks intensity, especially off the ball. We need to see him sprinting to close people down, running back 40 yards to try and win the ball back, etc. If he can improve that side of the game, he'll be fine.

I think the vast majority of us know Thelo Aasgaard is a talented footballer and I also have the feeling that he'll be very good under Derek McInnes. 👍 🇬🇧
