What constitutes a marquee signing for us? A big name? Someone over a certain transfer fee? Was Chermiti a marquee signing given that he had hardly kicked a ball in first team football before us, but was our 2nd highest transfer of all time?

I don't think a transfer fee does have anything to do with it. As someone said, we paid 8 million for Chermiti and no way was he a marquee signing.

My star would agree with that in hindsight. At the time, though, he certainly wasn't. Just not sure what a marquee signing would look like for Rangers these days. Is Raheem Sterling a marquee signing? Huge name, huge talent at one time, but completely washed up now.
Was Ramsay a marquee signing? I would probably say that's the closest to a marquee signing we've seen in a long time. Maybe Bruno Alves?

Not marquee, but does get you excited that the club are willing to spend that kind of money. Makes me think he's highly rated.
