What is wrong with the mentality around our club? Even the women have blew 2 cups now.

We're forever signing players/managers with wrong mentality. How we get it so wrong, so often, is absolutely worrying.

Just back from the game. We had our chances, but felt like we were never going to score today. Almost everything straight at the keeper. Hit the post, keeper put one on to the bar. McAuly should have had a penalty.

Overall it felt like another poor performance. Some players, maybe just a few games too much at the end of the season. Couple of players in line up who are not in form at the moment.

Lots of youngsters who looked a bit shaky today. Not sure why Wilko is playing so deep in last couple of games. We really seem to struggle in big stadium matches. Lots to be positive about in terms of some real quality young players we have coming through, but the run in has been a step too far for them, unfortunately.

Result probably sums up the entire season for the club.

Other teams give their players and managers time to develop that mentality. Is what we have got wrong for so long. Where else at the level of clubs we buy players from is there the same demand to win every game? So, with that in mind, where are players going to come with that mentality already built in? Some will develop it more quickly, but it still needs to be developed.

The women's team decided to go a different route and promoted a lot of young academy players.

They will take time to develop into a team and get that winners mentality. But, the more we build that academy route, perhaps those young women will move to first team with a winning mentality already there in future.

Despite that, this season they have finished runners up in the 3 main competitions and achieved Champions League football. That might be seen as a success of sorts by the club.

Tough old season, Cooper.

Hopefully built some solid foundations for next year. If we can hold on to the core of the group and add some depth and experience, think we could be a hell of a side.

Release the audio!

How can VAR review that incident quicker than the TV showed a replay of it?

Not surprised tbh.

Agreed, EHL, there is some good players in that team, need to try and bring in replacements for some of the more experienced players that are now hindering the team.

Sorry to say it, Doherty being one of them. She used to be an attacking full back, but now stays well inside her own half most of the time. I don't think that's tactical as it was also the same with the previous manager.

Maybe she can move in one?

I tried to watch the game last 5 mins. The level is nothing more than pub football, and anyone else saying different is lying to themselves. imo.

Tough old season indeed, EHL. Lots of experience gained in those young legs this season. Think it would've given such confidence for next season if they'd got this or the league over the line, with so many teenagers in that starting line up/squad.

Heard this weekend about a few u17s being released, which I am quite shocked about from having seen them play quite a few times. Some real quality going out the door as well.

Cooper, it's a tough part of the year for those who are let go.

To be fair the club offer a lot of support, but for many it's a setback they don't really recover from.

I think in general though, girls and women's football is in a good place.
