You don't want a young keeper as the no3, Manchester, as they get no game time. Better with an older no3 who can help coach etc.

Best way for young gk to develop is to play, so we're better with an old head as 3rd choice and loaning out the young ones, i.e. Munn and Maguire.
I think it was Ehl that said on here that's the route we are looking at.

Don't want a 43/44 either with injuries. Just because you once were a good keeper doesn't mean you're a good coach. Look at all the players that fail at it. That's why clubs have a coach, even though they might have one of the best keepers in the world. ?

Stevie, I meant to let you know. Billy Reid has no knowledge about any Rangers interest in him or any of his people. He replied to my pal a few weeks back and I forgot. I knew Billy when he was in north, gladly coaching pub team and playing, great bluenose and football man, but sadly not coming home, yet.

I don't get the have an old 3rd choice GK. Not many clubs are going to loan and play 18 or 19 yr old keepers, so they're better off training with 1st team. How many games did Munn get on loan or will Maguire get more at his age?
