Think shankland could be a really big player for us. More so linking the play and hold up play. he's not actually been banging them in from open play the last couple seasons if you look at it. But his all round game is very good. And we have a new penalty taker also.

I agree, Peterpanloyal, that Shankland has massively improved his overall game over the last few years and is a much more intelligent all round striker, as opposed to being just a goalscorer. ? I remember watching the superb Harry Kane when he first broke into the Spurs first team and he was just a goalscorer, but he developed his overall game and is a world class complete striker.
? Shankland has done similar with developing his game but obviously not on the same scale as Kane. ? Although Shanks has developed his overall game, I wouldn't say he's stopped banging the goals in, Peterpanloyal. ? He's still a natural finisher and is deadly in front of goal, he'll never lose that instinct of knowing where to be at the right time in the box, with his terrific movement. ???

What I've always liked about Shankland is how instinctive he is and how quick he can pivot and shoot. Better late than never getting him. We've been missing a player like him for years.
