Sorry I caused confusion yesterday at 17:13 with my nonsensical question, I was typing fast and didn't check it. The jist of my question, which some picked up on, was for those that want rid of Rohl who would you want as manager? And if you don't know who you'd want, what type would you want? Like I'd said, Gio ticked every box for us and that didn't work out. Is it possible that Rohl has had half a season with us and has the capability to see now what is required to compete and win in the Scottish league? Is it possible he can learn from mistakes and take the things that have worked well and add in new ideas from what he's seen in his first 7 months I.e.

a certain type of defender, a solid no nonsense one, or more Scottish players.
Or do we just get rid and start the process again?
I've checked this twice so hopefully makes sense ?

In Rohl We Trust. ?⚪️?
Some want Rohl out for the season ending capitulation.
And want McInnes in his place - even though Hearts have capitulated a 9 point lead and allowed Celtic to win the title.
Some want Rohl out after 6 months in charge as there has been no progress.

And want Gerrard in his place - even though Gerrard needed 3 years to get it right and in his first season gained less points than Rohl has achieved this season.

What boxes did Gio tick?

Alloa, in an nutshell we need guys who can adapt to the speed and physicality of the SPL and a manager/coach who can implement a game plan that can beat the low block and get behind the opposition, both home and away.

We need strong players, strong runners, quick players who can move it forward immediately. Celtic have got Engles and Nygren who although not world beaters have adapted to the SPL.

Good quote from Cav that I agree fully with.

"We look at our squad and say we have a bunch of good players. We have a good squad, and we've proven that in fits and spurts throughout the season.

"But we don't yet have a good team.

And that is our focus this summer, building a winning team.

"Our focus will be less about raw talent and more about things like chemistry, leadership, steel and footballing IQ. We are excited to make those adjustments to the squad."

Total agree, Huey. To win medals and trophies, we need to play as a team, and that hasn't happened enough this season.

Whatever the players think of each other off the park, they break a leg for each other on it. It never has been about individuals and never will be.

Wsl is regard the following as Gio ticking boxes. He played for us and "knows what it means to play for Rangers", he played at the very highest level, he won titles and cups with Feyenord as a manager, so had experience as well. What more would you want?

Huey, good post and it takes time to build a good team. It was highly unlikely this would happen in half a season.

Huey, I think that Danny Rohl will be good for us, I think he was brought in because he was good enough to tipple too who was causing the unrest (leadership group), and he has now stamped his authority on the players (well, the ones that will be remaining).

I also recon he knows the player type he fancies to change our current outlook & get us back to a winning team, just my opinion.
