I do, John, yes. Agreed he can score, but scoring when it matters is another story. As someone alluded to on the transfer rumours page, we could sell him and recoup our money. These goals will only help with that.

I said before the split that, even with the lads' poor start, he had a chance of beating Dessers 1st season league tally. And he's done just that.
It looks like we've now got a 20 league goal striker on our hands to build the team around for next season.

Yes, John Chermiti has done well this season, all things considered, and the mediocre start he made with his lack of football and fitness when we signed him from Everton. ? As you say, that's, I think, 15 league goals in 26 league games, a better than a 1 in 2 league goals average for Chermiti, which is a really good goal return. ?

John, I think he will come good this season. The problem is he scores 2 a games, does not score for 4 games or so, and bangs in another 2 or in today's case 3.

Baxter, I remember explaining how Butland was a poor goalkeeper, it was just before gert24, when loads on here said he should be in the three, some told us he was better than Pickford.
I said very poor ball at feet, cross balls and his concentration was seen to be dreadful.
There was a reason he could never get a game at United, Palace.
I think we will try remove him from wage bill and in process get a million or two for him.
If he stays, we will see similar brain farts, but at present, he is the best we have, if the boy from Germany signs we will have a better goalie.
Ps he was not rated by Southgate and goalie coaches.

I disagree, Canadasteve.
He's shown he has quality in other games too, and if not for his goals in those games, we'd be even worse off than where we are now.
These players have something, they've shown it to get us back to where we were before the collapse, and again today.
Hopefully, with a full preseason, new players coming in, and the egos out, next season will be better.

John, yup I agree with your posts above re JB, if anything I recon he can stop a shot if the shot is coming from way outside the box, but anything in the box he is hopeless with, like he has bad eyesight lol.
