I don't think the owners will bin DR but he must identify his main targets if not already done so. How many of the current squad are going to be good enough next season, not many I think. We definitely need a new goalkeeper and obviously a new captain and a couple of CBs and a whole new midfield. We must be totally ruthless and get rid of most of the nothing players we have.
Players who won't be here next season IMO are Butland Tav, Djiga, Diomande Chukwuani, Antman, Aasgaard, Gassama, Olsen, Aarons, Meghoma, Bajrami. Sure will save a lot of wages but we need a number of seasoned professionals who hopefully can enhance the young players we have.

I don't think there's anything wrong with those 4 midfield players we have: Raskin, Chuck, Diomande, and Barron. The problem is none of them are a 6, none of them have the benefit of a six, and some of them are often out of position. If we had an established number 6 he would bring the ball out from the back like Watt does for Motherwell (this might solve the keeper distribution issue). With a 6 anchoring the midfield it allows those 4 players I mentioned previously to play centrally or further up the pitch.
Imagine the shape is a 4-3-3. We have an established number 6 who can bring the ball out of defense and give the team shape and tempo. Raskin can play as a box-to-box midfielder and get up and down the pitch. Chuck is more of a defensive central midfielder and is a good partner for Raskin imo.
When Raskin was running out of position in a previous Celtic game, Chuck was right in his ear reminding him where he should be. Diomande has more attacking qualities and tends to get into that number 10 space when he can, and he scores goals. Barron is young, hardworking, enthusiastic, and he possesses a great forward pass that can unlock defenses that was often seen at Aberdeen - but not here. There's a good balance there.
What is badly lacking is the wingers. There needs to be wide players that can score 10+ goals each, from both sides. None of the wingers we currently have can do that. I think Curtis could if he was given a full season. Players like Sima and Cerny are what we need. I would break the bank to get Sima back here.

For those who are championing J B Askou as a potential Gers manager, I would like to ask.
If JBA gets the job, would you expect him (and his style of play) to be able to improve players we have, bearing in mind what he has clearly done with likes of McGinn, Gordon, O'Donnell, or expect him to scrap and start all over again?
I don't believe the entire squad is a car crash, and feel a good manager, (coach), should be able to improve as well as sign players.

I honestly don't see what people are seeing in Chucky - For me, he is a weak link in a weak team and he should be moved on ASAP. Barron is a far better option than him.

I don't think Pep or Klopp could improve these players much. 1st, they've got to have the desire to improve and then they need the ability. They haven't got either.

I think Chucky is probably a decent European style player, but this is the SPL, and also, like Dio, they don't get the time on the ball they are so used to, like Lammers, like Rothwell, etc. We need guys who can cope with the quickness of the football up here, not guys who look good in the Europa League.

Rohl and none are an 8 bar Raskin who does drive forward sometimes. Midfield is currently our problem and a 10.

Our midfielders have been horrendous, owned 3 games on the trot, very little creativity and composure, all too similar.

I do think Chukwuani will be at the club next season because he deserves more time to adapt to the bedlam of Scottish football. Diomande, on the other hand, has shown over the years that he's not good enough consistently. He has some good games, he even started off yesterday's game in good style, but he can't keep it up from game to game or even within a game.
He'll probably do okay elsewhere but not in this league. If he goes and Raskin gets his move, plus Aasgaard is sold, that frees up space for some different styles to be brought into the midfield squad.

Chuckwani's just got here. His quality is obvious. He's not going anywhere this summer.

Rohl, you say Chukwuani has quality, which is obvious, but I've yet to see him controlling a midfield, yet to see him make any great impact on a game. His passes are usually about 2 metres and invariably back the way. Will he get better? No-one knows, but he's failed, as has everyone in the squad.

Would you take a Glen Kamara back? Davis, Jack and Kamara all worked very well as a 3 due to their different attributes, albeit none were out and out attacking midfielders, banging in plenty of goals.
