Is it not a sensible option that the club force him to bring in a Scottish or ex ranger no2?
Barry would be a good foil for Danny. The way Archie was for Walter.

We should have kept Neil McCann around. Instead, we got Stevie Smith. Nothing against Smith, but I think McCann is more outspoken and opinionated. That would pissibly be quite handy at a time like this.

It would be madness to get Barry Ferguson in as a no 2. That would have disaster all over it.

Barry would be gunning for the job at every opportunity, he said so himself. You can't just bring a No.2 in because he's an ex Rangers or a Scot; they have to actually provide some tactical or logical input to the team and coaching staff, rather than just be a Mike Bassett type character.
