I personally would give Rohl another season. Came in on a sinking ship & has steadied it up to a point. Not a big fan of changing managers at the first sign of a dip in form. Look at how Arsenal have stood by Arteta over the years.

Arsenal win zero.

Not sure anyone is a fan of changing managers. Why didn't you stick with Martin?

At least we would have a chance of winning the Championship next season with him.

Oh how much our standards have slipped.

He needs a full season with his own players. The same senior players have failed again and we're still carrying the duds from Therwell's era. The guy needs a full season before final judgement can be passed.

Remember, we can only attract young inexperienced managers from the Championship. Who do we move onto next? Ian Holloway? Neil Warnock?

We're already at the bottom of the barrow.

A very hard result to accept tonight. I am still hurting, but think getting shot of Rohl is a mistake. The guy needs time to build his own team, plus we can't keep going round in circles with managers. We were dead and buried after Martin; not one person gave us a chance, but somehow he got a tune out the players and got us back up the table.

The points dropped at the start of the season have played a massive part in that, plus the fact Hearts, Motherwell, Falkirk, Hibs, even St Mirren, have improved. I also get our budget is higher and all the rest of it on paper, yes it should, but it just doesn't work like that. I'd keep DR. He needs a full season.

Watched his interviews. It's not about mentality, it's about performance, 90 mins not 45. That's only 2 things. An incredibly unfit team or a lack of mental focus. A lack of mental focus to keep tight and do what is required for 90 minutes is a mentality failure.

To not be able to ignite urgency and pragmatic approaches when required is a refusal to accept autonomy.

Again, that is a mental failing in this team. It is also a product of micro managing.

Sticking the herd on a Hearts player to win at all costs is also quite mental, but I don't want that to happen. ? We can fix the other though.

There's talk of 14 players leaving in the summer.

That's almost 50% of the squad.

I think that speaks volumes.

Some of his decisions recently, or lack of, have baffled me (selection, subs, timing of subs), but I can't face the whole fiasco of a manager hunt again, so I'm for giving him next season, but I fear he's already up against it. What happens if we get horsed next weekend? The knives will be out.

Plus, finishing 3rd might have ruled out potential new signings of a better calibre who want at least a shot at CL qualifiers. Will our better players be sold? How much will we now have to spend?

We're still a sinking ship.

Ehl, do u think he deserves to be in charge next season even if we lose, say, 3-0 to Celtic. Next week?

U and John are more ITK than any of us, so I genuinely value your opinion here and it will help me with mine.

Stevie G, absolutely Danny Rohl must get it right next season because this not winning trophies just can't go on and 1 league title in 15 years for a club like Rangers is abysmal, to say the least. ? We can't keep going with this cycle of changing managers after only a short time in the job, as it achieves nothing and we'll never have continuity chopping and changing all the time.

? I personally would give Danny Rohl next season to build his own team, and I have absolutely no doubt that Andrew Cavanagh will afford him that time. ? Having said that, Rohl must hit the ground running from the start next season, or the knives will be out for him. ?

Again, I agree, pal, DR deserves a chance to get his own team together & will quite rightly be judged on that. Summer transfers need done early with one or two experiened lads too & we need a fit, hungry & energetic squad ready for next season.

My only concern is if it doesn't work again, we will constantly be in this vicious circle of new managers having & trying to offload players to get their own ones in & we won't get anywhere.
