Hand on heart i thought thelo Aasgaard had one of his best games in a Rangers jersey yesterday and was involved in most of our good attacking play ?At the game just before the end the announcement from the tannoy gave the man of the match to chuckwuani, but for me i thought dujon Sterling was my Rangers man of the match yesterday ?If we could only keep this guy fit ? He's a very good player Sterling and can play superbly well in various positions ???

Sterling for me deserved it and thoroughly deserved his first goal. Couldn't be happier for him.

Aasgaard MOTM for me, was involved in two goals and scored one, so he had the most important input in the game. Sterling played well and Naderi and Gassama both played well in the 45 minutes they were on the field.

Aasgaard man of the match for me by a long way.

Just a note on Dujon Sterling, guys. Firstly, what do we think his best position is, as I think it's right back, but of course he's comfortable/good at defensive midfield, centre half and left back.
So a very good all round pro who can play and do a very good job in various areas for us.

? Secondly, he's about to go into the final year of his Rangers contract, so do you think/want Sterling to get a new contract to stay with us. ???b

I personally would be looking to sell Sterling in the summer, SWS, failing that in January and failing that allowing him to leave at the end of his deal.

Aph, you would get rid of Sterling but keep Olsen? I know you like Olsen, but he's been brutal. Derek Ferguson hit it spot on when he says he hides and doesn't even want the ball. A waste of a jersey at Ibrox. He'd be better suited somewhere else.

If big Dujon could stay fit he wouldn't be near Scotland. An absolutely tremendous player.

Sterling must stay. Some injuries, very unlucky. Olsen doesn't try hard enough to get injured and doesn't want the ball, gets rid asap.

Sterling unlikely to get another deal, hardly ever fit.

Took the words out of my mouth, Laudrup. The big concern with Sterling is injuries, but a guy who you get 7 out of 10 every game, who can play in multiple positions, whether right across the back 4 or do a job in midfield, who adds much needed steel to the side, binning him whilst wanting to keep a guy who hasn't done anything in a Rangers jersey makes no sense to me.

Correct. I would sell as well. We aren't going to offer him a better deal to stay longer with his injury history, so sell now and make some cash on the deal and replace. Nothing to do with how good a player he is or isn't, but just plain economics.

On match sponsor, if they meet the player they vote for and spin a bit of time, then did they just want to meet Chukwueni? I didn't think he was MotM yesterday, or close to it, so wondered if there was another reason to give it to him.

Absolutely spot on Herewego55 ? ?? Sterling is an absolute machine and if it just wasn't for his injury issues he would have had a big career in a much better league than ours. ? Aphelion, do you actually rate Sterling as a player, mate? ?

ED, can we have a poll regarding Dujon Sterling mate if you don't mind ?As we know Sterling only has one year remaining on his original 4 year contract he signed when we signed him in 2023?My poll being ie.should Rangers give dujon Sterling a new contract yes or no ? Cheers ED and as always very much appreciated pal ?
