A previous poster said he had heard that DR nearly took a door off it's hinges after the cup defeat, obviously it had no impact on another lack lustre performance. We have too many players IMO that don't care enough, Gassama and Olsen being prime examples. Glad to see wee Barron back he has to be starting every game at least he fights for the Jersey.
As far as players not being fit enough, look at our background team, coaches, physios, sport scientists all well paid so what do they do. We are playing 1 game a week and players can't last 90 mins something far wrong ?.

I posted that, BT. He kicked his door in. I was just saying that, as someone referenced, he might be a bit soft.
It makes no difference anyway. Kicking a door in isn't a substitute for good coaching and getting a couple of transfer windows to increase the quality of the side.

While I think our defence have improved a lot. In forward areas, our 'attacking' players just do not give us much. Barely think Naderi has even had a shot at goal.

I wouldn't say Gassama doesn't care. In fact, I would say the complete opposite, as you can see from his body language how disappointed he is when something doesn't work.
However, that in itself is a huge issue. When things don't go your way in sports, especially football, you need to reset as quickly as possible and get back into shape or work to get the ball back, not sulk.
Management need to get that into his head, that yes we don't want him to lose possession, but ultimately it's part of football, so when he does, keep your chin up and get back into position as quickly as possible.
A manager from the other side of Glasgow once said, if you can't be the best player on the pitch, be the best team mate. That's what he needs to do. It's a team game.
Getting a 7/10 out of every game is much better than being a 10/10 one week and then a 2/10 for several weeks.

BT, I don't think playing badly means they don't care, though.
With Gassama, it just looks that way because his body language drops when things aren't working, but to me that's frustration more than downing tools. He's young, confidence-based, and when he's played out of position or a few dribbles don't come off, he starts forcing it, especially with the pressure at Ibrox.
Add in the fact the manager's come in mid-season with no pre-season, and a squad built for a different style, and you're not suddenly turning lads into 90-minute players without risking injuries. They're managing loads, and trying to change how the team plays at the same time - real fitness gains only come after a proper pre-season.

I can't believe some of Gassama's decision making at times in forward areas.
Boy has tons of ability, but runs too much and takes the wrong pass.
It's difficult with guys like that, because you want them to play with freedom and not coach the creativity out of them, but jeezo, I hope he does more work with the video guys to see where he can improve.
Hate to say it, but he reminds me of Matondo some days, albeit Matondo with more ability.

Kicking a door in probably has the opposite effect on this team. They'll probably drop tools like they do with every manager.

MyStar.i found the interview on Facebook and sent it to myself as a WhatsApp so that I could keep it. Rohl definitely said, "The performance is important, not the result." I'm sure he didn't mean it.

We're lacking someone, either on the park, before the game, or even both, that can really motivate this group of players. Bar 1 or 2 players, they look lethargic and miserable.
The team 'Leadership Group' has no leaders in it.
Someone with a similar character to Gogic is what we need. Performances are too lack lustre. Too much emphasis on the Game Plan, our play needs to be more flowing and natural, with the players actually enjoying the match.

You can't say Naderi hasn't had a shot at goal. He had one in the first half yesterday, through the keeper, and it was kicked off the line.
16 Mar 2026 13:33:02
Wsl, in the league games he's played, he's barely had a shot at goal. That doesn't mean zero shots.

Whatsmyname. If he did in that interview, it might have been a mistake. In the one I read he said:
Today was not about winning nice, it was about the result. We move forward with eight cup finals to go.
This time of the year it's all about results.
That sounds more what I would expect to be said. However, equally he could have mis-said it in this one.

That's fine, Angus. Wish I knew how to upload stuff onto this page.

Whatsmanme, you don't need to, as far as I am concerned. I believe you read or heard it. I just think he may have said it accidentally, as the opposite makes much more sense, especially after yesterday.
16 Mar 2026 15:17:05
Whatsmyname, I just listened to the interview where he said those words. However, as usual, you have to listen to everything he said around those words to understand what he was saying.
He was actually talking about the result last week in the cup final and how the team had since reacted during the week in training to it. He then said that it's also important for the players to consider the performance in that game, not just the result. What he was saying was that, obviously, the result was rubbish, but that overall we were the much better team and, therefore, it's important for his players to bear that in mind.
Although they didn't get the result they wanted, if they keep putting in good performances then the results will come. He was basically trying to look for the positives and say that, rather than letting the players dwell on the bad result, they should instead, at this time, focus on the way they actually played rather than letting their heads go down.

Rostosto, if Gassama is to start, it must be on the LW where he has proved to be effective in games, but v St Mirren he just looked devoid of ideas.
