I think there's a very good chance we'll sell big Fernandez in the summer, and Cornelius will go back to Marseille. ? So, if we do sign Dundee left-sided centre-half Luke Graham, I think Souttar will help him enormously playing beside him.
? If Tav does indeed leave Rangers this summer, big Soapy will be our new captain, at least for the next 2 seasons and beyond, if he can stay relatively injury free. ?

If we play in Europe with Souttar and Luke Graham, God help us, man.
We need 2 solid, tall, experienced centre backs in the summer, first-picks type players. With Souttar and Fernandes making 4, maybe if Manny is a first pick we can get away with one first pick besides him, and Soapy and Graham as back up.

Souttar won't be our next captain. He'll be lucky to be here next season. For a big lad, he isn't half poor in the air. He struggles badly to defend high balls.

Get it in your head, Tuur, if Tav leaves Big Soapy is our new Rangers captain for the next 2 years. ? Are you living in a bunker, mate? ? Our manager Danny Rohl rates Souttar, thus why a new 1 year, possibly 2 year, deal was given to him, and if he hadn't had any injury issues, he would have been easily given a new 3 year contract.

If we do what we need to do at centre back, which is replace Cornelius and Djiga with at least one and probably two experienced centre backs, I don't see Souttar being a regular starter, so how can he be captain? His form doesn't justify it anyway. He makes as many mistakes that lead to goals as Tavernier is accused of, but he doesn't have the attacking output to offset it.
I think a year with a year's option is not the kind of contract we would give to a guy who we want to make captain and build the defence around. I'm not convinced Big Manny will go in the summer, I can't see the EPL clubs paying big money for a guy who has had a good 6 months and Graham would be signed as a project player to introduce gradually into the team if he copes with joining Rangers.
