In answer to a posters remark about the fans and Chermiti taking heat Fans were correct to say he shouldn't start up until last night as his goals ratio was abhorrent at best apart from the tic game-the sitter against well cost us 2 points.BUT last night I saw a different edge to the player and have rebutted my opinion which is allowed.We as fans have every right to vent as every season apart from one we bottle it.last night was different as we played them off the park and were aggressive to a fault.
Gassamma also must be used as an impact sub as that's where he belongs at this time and last night he proved that -onwards and upwards --the other side of the city 's extra time luck will run out at some point in time

For a 10 million-pound striker, his goals record is terrible.
His record in the SPFL per game:

Turn some of those X's into G's and we might just have a Rangers striker on our hands.

He has 7 goals in his first 19 league matches. Dessers (remember him) scored 8 in his first 19. He then went on to become our 25-goal-a-season striker, so even an experienced CF needed time. I know he has 5 in 2, but those count as well. :)
Add to that, I think Chermiti has better build-up and hold-up play, and we may find we have a better striker.
However, he won't be perfect and will miss chances like any striker. But for a 22 yo lad in his first starting role, no matter what the price is, he is close to how our top scorer was in the last 2 seasons in numbers.

Fans were wrong, because he had proven, over a number of games, that he offered more than our other strikers. That is why he was playing ahead of Dani and Miovski. We don't know enough about Naderi yet to tell if he will be better.
You can believe he is not good enough in the long term, but his selection in those games was merited.

Still only 21, Angus, not 22 for another few months, mate. Easily a better all-round player than Dessers.

Don't think he can play the line striker role. He looks much better when there are two there, like yesterday.

I was listening to a podcast earlier, and Chermiti actually has a surprisingly decent goal to minutes ratio in the league due to him having been used sparingly domestically for most of the season.
