Well wasn't impressed with our game the other night
Motherwell dominated large stretches and arguably deserved something from the match.
Couldn't capitalise against 10 men never really imposed ourselves
Motherwell had more possession more shots on target
We really struggled to control the game
And couple missed chances to put us out of sight
And some massive saves from Butland
Against a team yes in form but so were we before this game
It once against shows when the big games come and it matters and it's a chance to get ourselves into a better position we can't lift ourselves up for it or we fold under the pressure
It was a terrible display across the park not going to single out anyone we should have been capable of taking care of the result especially goi g 1.0 and Motherwell eventually going down to 10 men
Honestly the mentality at our club over the years when we have done good work to get into a position to really challenge we always end up fallen short
We thought Hearts wheels would fall off when infact it's our own wheels fallen off when it really matters
Same old story time and time again
I just don't see us being able to sustain any challenge again when the games are coming thick and fast
We concede last minute - Celtic score last minute it's the difference and been the difference going on season after season
Rohl line up was bizarre from the start
Really not good enough.

Stayed away from page yesterday as absolutely gutted with the performance, and really couldn't understand Danny's selection and tactics. We managed to get a goal, then totally sat back and let them bully us. Why, when they go down to ten men in 77 minutes, do we sit right back instead of trying to kill the game off, or at least play some of the game in their half? Our two full backs were pushed so far back, and he then puts a 3rd centre half on, which didn't even help at the goal, with the Well eventually getting the point they fully deserved!! Not looking good for us now, but I always hope.
?✌️?

If i'm looking at this objectively, Stig, i'd have to say that we weren't actually in form. We've been on an unbelievable run of results where we've rode our luck and relied on Butland to do his job a lot of times. With the exception of a few periods of 20 minutes here and there, I don't think we've dominated anyone. Celtic should have been out of sight of us in the first half at their ground. Killie did well even with 10 men up until 5 mins from the end. The facts of the matter are that Motherwell have been getting rave reviews all season for their football, and you could see why on Wednesday. We've been a touch lucky to take 5 points out of 9 against them, and others probably won't.
The new boys coming in will play a part, but have to be integrated gradually so as not to destroy the equilibrium. Rommens has carried a niggle, as has Fernandez and Naderi, so I think that's why they were rested, and I thought Meghoma played ok. If we'd seen out the 1-0 the other night, I think everyone would have looked completely differently at the performance. i'm going for us to beat Hearts and Celtic, and also Motherwell to take points off both. Its going to be an exciting end to season, and I embrace it. Hopefully the time of the Glasgow giants buying the league each year is over, and we can get a competitive league which makes us all better.

Our wheels haven't fallen off, we just got a puncture.

Welcome to the Panty Wetters, Stig.
Don't you know you can't criticise a below par performance?
We've just to suck it up and accept a great point against a side with 10 men.
Rohl never got anything wrong.
The players all played out their skin.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm away to fill out my application to join the Happy Clappers.

Shame Motherwell are playing them and Hearts away rather than at Fir Park.
13 Feb 2026 11:07:11
24jamger, both Celtic and Hearts have Motherwell home and away, we only have Ibrox.
13 Feb 2026 11:07:49
Home games after the split.
13 Feb 2026 11:24:16
We take 28 points from the remaining 36, and I'd be very confident it's our league.
13 Feb 2026 11:53:01
Should have added 4 points for Hearts and Celtic.
13 Feb 2026 11:56:15
You think 80 points will win the league? ?
13 Feb 2026 12:19:40
How have our wheels fallen off? Hearts have lost 1 and drawn 1 in their last 5 games. Have their wheels fallen off?
13 Feb 2026 12:23:44
Cmon MrPH,
I'm not happy clapping at all, and I'm not saying we were good, quite the opposite, saying we weren't really in form. The reality is Motherwell have been better than us all season, so the draw wasn't that much of a surprise. The expectation that just because we're Rangers we should be steamrollering all and sundry is probably more deluded.
We've not dominated anybody of note for 2 halves for years. You only had to look at the odds before the game. However, I will applaud the job the manager has done with an underperforming team that was lacking in confidence, and I'll be fairly happy while I'm doing it because I'm a cheery guy.
13 Feb 2026 12:33:20
Mph, very low 80's will win the league. If we take 4 points off Celtic and Hearts, we'll win the league. Both of them have to visit Ibrox.
13 Feb 2026 12:44:35
Fir Park as well.
13 Feb 2026 14:02:19
Who said you can't criticise MPH. I criticised his changing to a back 5 and trying to hold on to 0-1 against 10 men. Its all the league title push is over nonsense that i disagree with.
13 Feb 2026 14:02:43
I've not said we should be steamrollering anyone, Baz.
My issue is the level of performance.
If we played crap and still won we would have been over the moon.
But we got away with one against Hibs.
And dropped points against 10 men from a winning stance.
That's my issue.
Gassama has been honking for ages.
Moore was very poor at times especially first half.
Chermiti missed a sitter.
An underperforming front 3 will not win us games.
13 Feb 2026 14:23:42
My star depending who finishes in the top 6 there's a chance we may have to go to Fir Park a third time.
13 Feb 2026 15:34:19
Yeh, I can see a lot of your points, MPH, and agree with most too, just not sure it's being a happy clapper to acknowledge we're not that good. Motherwell are, and a draw wasn't the end of the world.
I could well be wrong, but I fancy us over Hearts and Celtic, and fancy Motherwell to hurt them too. I could see a 4-way fight in a few weeks, and, to be honest, I'm loving it. This is what a league should be like.
