Lots of chat re team selection etc, but for me it's about style and link up. Motherwell don't have better players than us but 100% have a better system which the are able to execute. Our style isn't as effective and we are not able to implement it as easily.
You can see how easy Motherwell, play it out from the back, playing through the lines. Our players are unable to press, if they do they play it around them. And then they are easily able to pin us in.
On the reverse, we struggle to play it out from the back - yet keep on trying it. They are able to block off passes and press and force us to go long an then it's rinse and repeat for them.
They were by far the better team and tbh deserved more from the game. I think to come away from there with a point is decent.
The way the league is looking now - I think we need to win ALL our home games to clinch the title, starting in Sunday.
Let's go!!

Good post, Zikos, and i agree with what you're saying, mate. ? Of course we have better players than Motherwell, so absolute credit goes to their manager, Askou, and the style/system he has his players playing, and each and everyone carry it out and know exactly what they're doing.
? I don't think any of us bluenoses can say that they didn't deserve a point, so we get our heads together and move on to the Hearts game on Sunday, and 3 points is a must, and i think we'll get the 3 points. ???

Need more than just home games.

Persisting with Chermiti and Gassama will not win you the league. Bomber called it as well. With 10 mins to go, why throw on all the subs? The side then became totally disjointed, with 5 at the back.

Zikos, the well played and dominated the ball exactly how we want to play.
For me, too many of our players just don't have what it takes. We just don't do the basics well enough. No tempo to our play, tracking runners, closing down, and runners beyond our striker.
All seemed a bit disjointed last night.
On reflection, it's still a decent point. Lots of football to be played, and 3 points is a must on Sunday.
We really need to want and believe we can win this league. It's there for the taking.

Groundhog Day again?
They can win points at end of a sticky match, and we can lose points - same old, same old.
The same players who look a million dollars scoring against minions then look scared of a fight when up against a press of any kind - bottom line is the players don't have the bottle for it!
Have the chance to do things when destiny in our own hands and fear factor comes in. ? We NEVER EVER look comfortable holding a one goal lead, but the same shambolic defending and ball watching catches us every time - shameful. I hope the set piece coach can see what the punters see, and that they all follow the ball like schoolboys and leave players with space in our box (routinely) - even worse when we have a man advantage.
Also mega disgusted with the prima donna that is Gassama - how dare we take him off - the self entitled so and so. Yes, fully entitled to be unhappy, but FGS understand when your contribution is less than average and accept the hook! He is one that is never going to be a team player - another "Why Me Balotelli," but with fraction of the talent - rather have had Skov Olsen in there.
Now we are back to hoping for others to help out and just piling more pressure onto the Hearts game! Also, Chermiti and Gassama were a waste of jerseys last night imo.
Dont take anything from Motherwell as they were better team, and if not for Butland we would have got zip - only saving grace on a dismal night.

I would say there are a few players in that Motherwell squad that would be in our squad, especially going by that starting 11 selection.
Maswanhise, Just, & Watt would all be in our squad for sure.

We were played off the park for nearly the full 90 minutes. I cannot understand how the squad we have assembled for vast sums of pounds can't show any composure or control during a game. Motherwell's passing, movement, and desire was miles ahead of ours.
We looked ropey against 10-man Killie the other night, and we have now lost a goal to draw with Motherwell. The core of this team are honkin.
