Really enjoying what I'm seeing from Antman in his last 2 appearances. Honestly feel he could have a big impact in the remainder of the season. Very effective on that left side with Rommens.

Sorry, True, I think he flattered to deceive. He's too one footed and can struggle to get past his man. He gets pushed back from a wide position, and the attack can lose momentum.

This even happened when he played on the right, where he struggled to get crosses in before Rommens came in. He's too predictable.

Rommens looks a player, very direct and aggressive, but Antman is supposed to be the more creative player.

They have linked up well, but Rommens takes the credit for that.

Like every Rangers player, I hope he comes good, but like Aasgaard, he may run out of chances if he can't penentrate more consistently.

Olsen looks like he will do it for us though.

Watching him and Rommens, it looks like they played with each other for years. Very effective down the left-hand side.

So who takes the credit for him being creative on the right-hand side? He created Naderi's second and beat his man a good few times to create things using both feet from either side.
Second game back after injury, so will still take a while to get up to speed.

Hutton was all over him yesterday. Every time on the left, never hit the byline, always cut in trying for a shot, making it very obvious what he was going to do.

Rosto, Antman helps to unlock Rommens, mate. If it was Gassama playing there, how many accurate passes will Rommens receive off him?
I think Gassama on the left is capable of moments of pure brilliance that Antman can't do, but in terms of how they make the team play, Antman is a far better option on the left in regards to combinations and give and gos.

Everyone's opinion of him is all very relevant, guys. Aphelion thinks he is an 'excellent' player. Maybe the truth lies somewhere between his opinion and mine.

If he is to be a link up player with Rommens, and that's all he adds without hitting the byline and going past players, then fair enough.

Gassama goes past players, Wishy, but he is much less disciplined, takes risks, and makes lots of mistakes.

Either way, Rohl is the man, getting the best out of the team, and our winter signings look much more assured and ready for the challenge.

Why are you so obsessed with me, Rosto? ?

09 Feb 2026 11:17:20
There's a player in Antman, just raw. I do wonder if that was part of the game plan, wingers cutting in, taking shots, and overlapping left back. I think if he's told to try get to the byline, he will.
Seems eager to get energy into the game.

Cos you bite, Aphelion. ?

Antman did go to the left byline once or twice, but, as is the role of the inverted winger, he cuts inside and leaves space for the full back to overlap him. This doesn't happen when he is on the right because he stays wider. Its a bit like the Cerny scenario last season, when everyone said he never goes to the bye line and crosses with his right foot, which he actually did do, but it wasn't his strength.

I liked the relationship between Antman and Rommens, and it gives us another different option, which is a positive for the team.

Cerny burst into the box, took players on, and scored goals. He took lots of risks and would lose the ball doing so. Antman is much more disciplined, but I'm pretty sure every fan would take Cerny over Antman any day of the week.

I'm happy to see how it all works out with those two guys supporting each other out left. I have the feeling Antman will struggle against Hearts and Celtic.

Anyway, in Danny Rohl we trust. Hungry players competing for places is a great thing.

Good view, WSL. I tend to agree with how you see it on this one, and Angus is right about Antman only just back, so I feel he'll improve. What I will say is that Rommens looks like a pure bargain already, and Big Chucky looks like he'll hardly lose a battle all season.

While I feel we still have a lot to improve on, I'm getting more confident every game.

Chucky could turn out to be our version of how Wanyama used to be for them, same physique and box to box. If he does, i would be more than happy.
