I think we are all agreed that we need an additional CF and it's probably the most difficult position to fill especially mid season.
But also we need whoever it is to be a proven goalscorer.
If we don't get somebody in we are at the mercy of injuries.
Would any of you think that there are any of the youth players who could step up and contribute?

Its as difficult a position to fill as the club make it, Bowie 6 million, personally he isn't worth that so don't pay.
Maswhanise 5 million, top goalscorer in the league, afcon player, high prospect, no brainer.
We keep going back with bids for this German boy, if the club don't want to sell put that money on maswhanise and instantly improve our front line. you get what you pay for if you don't want to pay you won't get, then the statement comes out saying january is a hard window, no its not, its only as hard as you want to make it if you don't want to spend cash.

According to the latest reports, we've upped our offer to £3.6million for hansa rostock german striker ryan naderi and are prepared to let him stay on loan with rostock for the remainder of the season if we do buy him permanently ? We've also allegedly bidded for danish midfielder silas andersen and also looking at bringing Cameron archer in on loan, until the end of the season ?A busy last couple of days for us until the window closes at midnight on monday ?.

Fair enough to say just spend the money but if the selling team are looking at winning a title or promotion themselves they either refuse to sell or ask for an exorbitant fee.
I don't see the benefit of buying Naderi and loaning him back.

I agree Maswanhise would be a good signing but from what I've seen he's not a centre forward he plays more from wide.Signing him and playing him there is a possibility but is that fair on him, because if it doesn't work he'll get slaughtered, and so will the manager.
To sign him we need a wide man to go, probably Antman at this point as Skov Olsen has just signed and Gassama and Moore are contributing regularly.

why would Motherwell sell their player who has more goals than Bowie for a price that is less than Hibs got for Bowie. Why is no other team bidding for Maswanhise; why have Italian clubs who have a thing for Scottish league at the moment not bidding for him rather than Bowie if he is £1M less.
we are meant to be selling/loaning Danilo. Manager has said he would like a player who can play across the front 3. and yet even with those stipulations we aren't looking to bid for him
is it me who thinks then that we aren't interested in this window.

Maybe it's only me, but I feel Archer would be a good signing, natural finisher, him playing off Chermiti, he's good wide as well, can remember him scoring a couple of crackers for Villa, and a tidy finisher.

Maswanhise has had a decent half season that's all.thats why there is no big rush for clubs to sign him,also Bowie over priced but good luck to the boys,probably going to be playing in Italian second division next year,also if he does not settle quick will not be going to WC,look at Miller not exactly doing great over there.

Star I would hope so and would want it to happen. is he able to handle the expectation of the fans/weight of the jersey. the majority think he is what will win us the league. can he ladle that level of expectation, especially if he can't beat a low block and stops scoring.
not a no as I can't tell if he would be right but just a concern
