Hi all. Does anyone know our situation with automatic Champions League qualification if (I mean 'when') we win the league? From listening to various podcasts my understanding was that this was almost guaranteed, however Andy Newport in the Daily Record states we need at least a point from the Porto game to get automatic qualification. Can anyone advise on the state of play?

Yes due to our utterly shambolic euro campaign we now need at least a point. Or olympiacos are ahead of us. Of course they still need to win there league as do we for this to kick in to effect.

Olympaicos don't win in Ajax, Rangers will go straight in if we win our league.

Shaktar are our main danger as they have qualified for the Knockouts of the conference.
They are the only ones who can overtake us now.
We need them knocked out asap as it looks like they will win their league.

Even if we get nothing from the Porto game, they don't pick up three points in Ajax we're in if we will our league.

Billy there is a story which gives a bit of an explanation on the club website. the whole thing is far too complicated to go through. personally I think there are further issues if Olympiacos get through to knockout phase as that gives them 6 points for doing that but can't be 100% sure.

Think much still to be decided. Depends if Olympiakos go through, then depends how far they go. Could do with win next week to keep the gap.

Olympicos is our threat, as they have qualified to next round I'm sure they get bonus co efficient points. Believe they have to win 1 more game. Winners of the cl need to finish their season in cl spot for anything to happen first then we need to win the league, so does olympacos. Gaurenteed cl only happens if theirs a domino effect.

And here was me thinking last night was a dead rubber, it clearly wasn't.
I've read the peace on the club website, it appears there's a few things that need to happen for us to get automatic Champions League spot.
Winning our own League might be the toughest.

Olympiakos have not yet qualified not sure why people think they have, lots of different permeations to unfold from last round of games.

As Danny Rohl has said we need to win the league first or this doesn't matter. If it depends on us beating Porto away, it won't happen anyway.
