Tav has created the most big chances this season in the league. a lot of people don't think he's good enough for the team yet he's still putting in better numbers than anybody we have. Which is very concerning as certainly doesn't say much about the rest of the squad if tav is now 'not good enough'.

Raskin is our only player in the leagues top 20 for expected assists which is a teri le state of affairs that we are currently trying to rectify in the market.

How many big chances do we create directly from throw ins? ?
It is interesting though because as a full back who is past his prime and legs have gone the stats show he performs very well to his peers in same position (according to Fotmob where the big chance figure comes from. He has created 42 chances with 11 big ones but only 3 assists so it seems our players can't score efficiently from those assists.
as a FB he:
1. creates more chances than 99% of FBs
2. wins more aerial duels than 76% of other FBs
3. has more defensive contributions than 74% of other FBs
4. has more touches of the ball than 99% of other FBs.
so the eyes may say that his legs have gone but he still produces the figures. or other FBs are even worse.
I know as they say in Parliament "the eyes have it" ?.

Maybe so, but he is rank rotten in defence.
And Raskin and Meghoma have more assists to their name this season.
Although the top scorer, 5 have come from penalties.
He's been needing replaced for a couple of seasons now.

Again too many people here looking to minimise Taverniers contribution to Rangers this season if the rest of the teams that has played around him had been half as effective and contributed a quarter of what he has we may have been in a better position.

Big Dado. I am not arguing I am putting forward the defending figures from a reputable statistic site which says he is in the top percentile of right backs. so not me or a fan 'with eyes' but an independent source.

I have always rated Tav and think he definitely can play a part this season. But I am also really glad that he will go in the summer because I am fed up watching him, I don't blame him personally but he has been a mainstay in years of failure and I want to move on from that.
I hope he can lift another title this season as a reward for enduring one of the most difficult captaincy periods in our history.

what's my name that was just a tap in tbh. go and look for footage of Roberto Carlos' free kick in 1997 vs France. 20 yard run up and around 35-40 yards from goal. hits it with his left and starts it about 3 yards outside the keepers left hand post.
The has a bit of work to do to beat that.
also worth looking up James Tavernier best free kicks on Google and seeing how often he has done it over the last decade. Thelo's was good but.

Tav has been great for us over his time but I think the club have messed up on this one we should of bought 2 good prospects 1/2 years ago so they were ready when tav does go and Arron's we have no rb.
