The playing staff we have ARE all performing to the best of their abilities. They cannot improve as that is the best they can play. It is why they were playing in the lower leagues. Yes, you can uncover an occasional rough diamond as they say. But theseuns have had their chance to impress and get a move to a better team and or league, but nobody has seen that promise in them, and that is why they were playing lower league football.
IF we are to improve, serious investment must be made, and it shouldn't be the, 10 players for 30m and hope for the best, approach. We must improve the squad window on window with 2 or 3 good players until we have a core group of 15 good player. Then we can look at some projects.
I have felt we've been trying to run before we can walk these last few years, that's why its new manager and new team every season.

Work rate can be turned up levels from most.

You can have better players than the opposition in every position on the park, but if opposition work harder all over park like Falkirk yesterday you will not wins games like you would if you had that work rate, tired of saying it, but players not in our squad yesterday starts for Falkirk and every sub we had yesterday, Rohl will be finding these players out now, he's not had very long, but just need to focus on United the Kilmarnock because we need 6 points, hopefully that work rate shows up against utd.
Look even at Manchester United yesterday, first half no work rate, massive difference the second half, fighting for every ball.

Aasgaard is a Norwegian international a good international side with lots of options and he still plays. Gassama has been one of the few successes. Fernandez hasn't had much of a chance yet. The rest all came from abroad or EPL clubs.

Cletus totally agree re bringing in 2/3 players of quality instead of trying to shift 10/12 and bring in the same, as if it doesn't work like it hasn't for us last few seasons, this season is what you get.
I've been bursting for us to get into a position where we can add 2/3 quality players, instead of scrambling all over the place to find mediocre for most positions.

Probably the best Norway squad in my lifetime as well, can't see us losing much cash on Aasgaard.

They are not playing to best of ability though that's the problem.
The inconsistency is why.
They are good players with a skill set but they don't have the consistency to be very good and maybe they aren't able to deal with the pressure of the fans and expectations.
All that is a massive part of the problem here. Aasgaard is a skilful and good player. If was at a lesser club he'd look the part.

Gassama is nowhere near Rangers class, he's the prime example of a lower league player has a bit of ability in flashes but that's as far as it goes 80% of the time he makes the wrong pass of takes too long on the ball.

Jzer Gassama only 22 years old, plenty time to develop. wouldn't be ruling him out just yet.

Said this a couple of years ago, 2 at a push 3, of quality and straight into first team each transfer window for 2 years, never happened and we've went backwards drastically since then.

have to agree jzer, I've had real misgivings about Gassama, another Kent, Cantwell, looks busy but does little.
