I don't think Thelwell and RM have any idea about Chermiti either. It's 10 mil on a gamble that could have been better spent elsewhere.

Don't think anyone can really judge when he only had 1 start and mainly 5-10min sub appearances. Just need to wait and see. His stats before Everton were promising.

Stevie you looked at clips of him mate? Looking like very fast feet for a big guy, likes an nutmeg as well, Figo rated him higher than Leao a couple of seasons ago, I know just his opinion like we all have, but he must have something about him.

CanadaSteve . I'm not defending Martin and Thelwell but I'm pretty sure they know more about Chermiti than you do so let's wait to see the boy play before we judge him and them .

I expect Chermiti to be excellent. Thewell and Purdy could not know more about him with thier time spent at Everton.
If they decided to dish out our 2nd highest transfer fee he has to be great. If he is not can we really trust them to sign anyone ever again.

MBW, well with lots of duds brought in over the years you have to hope that checks have been done. If anything it has nothing to do with our scouting and everything to do with Thelwell rating him. His age fits our trading model but not the price tag. Lad will have to earn that transfer fee, lots of pressure on him to perform.

Putting him down or bugging him up.
Judgement will be reserved but I do think it's a helluva big gamble and perhaps a waste of money et as we could've got someone else for a fraction of that price or we could've went for more experience at that price.
