I see both points of view in regards to chermiti transfer. It's a huge outlay and our second highest ever signing, for such a young lad with basically no goal scoring record.
The boy didn't put that price tag on himself, so please let's get behind the boy, we need to give him at least 10/ 15 games before people can write him off.
It's a huge risk i agree, but the lad might rip it up. He has my full backing, I'm actually excited to see him play.

100% agree with that but he will get judge by some after one game unfortunately.

Unfortunately our new strike force and CB have still yet to begin to go through the pain Martin speaks of and the 8-10 weeks which isn't enough to learn how to play so need to expect another couple of months of poor performance going by what we've been told so far.

Like all new signings, I'm looking forward to see what he brings as well.
My issue is spending that amount of money on an unproven young talent with potential.
For me it's the type of signing EPL clubs regularly make though the financial implications on that type of outlay don't affect them in the same way.
Our turnover averages about £100 million.
EPL clubs get that at the start of every season from Sky.
I would have preferred to splash the money on a proven striker.

He won't get 15 games to prove himself. 5 perhaps.

Certainly not judging the lad before I see him play, I am judging the management team for such a risky transfer, there was no need and I'm sure we could have got a more seasoned player. They've also not protected the young guy putting that pressure on him in our current situation.

Boyblue, add to that his injury history. A very strange signing.

Baxter, He has only had 2 injuries at Everton, well it's all I can see.

Someone mentions injury prone when not true and it grows.

Kaiser we already know that Russell Martin will not get another "couple of months". I reckon he must get positive results in the next 3 games or he will be gone.
05 Sep 2025 18:23:54
He will get time 10-15mins if he's lucky and that's plenty time for a hat trick.

Dado a was thinking along those lines to especially with so much negativity surrounding us just now. Maybe not the best timing wise, but when is i suppose? It is a lot of pressure for such a young guy.
Mystar if you look on transfer market his injuries did seem to keep him out a lot of matches tbf, not to worried about that though, new country, new training regimes etc, these things can happen.
Same mph, but hopefully in a few months he'll be a fan favourite.

Crazy price but as people say it's not his fault, just a bit puzzled with him and Bojan for how mr Martin utilises them . Yes mr Martin now, I have grown up and fully endorse veganism in all forms. Tofu lives matter.

Maybe so Boy blue but still only two injuries mate.
05 Sep 2025 19:19:04
Surely we must be looking at playing 2 up top either 3-5-2, 4-4-2, or 4-2-3-1 with possibly Miovski playing just off Chermiti or vice versa.
Need to give both players a few games to settle in and hopefully we see a few goals being scored in the season ahead.

Just my opinion BB4 but I think those deals are from a position of strength or desperation. I'll leave it to the forum to decide which one it was from our perspective.
