RM has been stating HIMSELF Igmane is carrying an injury from the start off preseason that's why he wasn't playing him and now the rubbishs hit the fan he needs a fall guy to take the boos off himself
This guy is a fraud he keeps saying its going to get worse before it gets better. Personally I can't see it get any better at all under his management. All I see is 11 guys whom are good footballers with no direction or understanding off RM tactics.

I agree. To me, it'll be more pain is word salad for: I'm in over my head and I need to try and buy time to try and figure this out, so I'll act this it going sideways was plan of my plan. I thought it was interesting to hear someone quote Patrick Stewart as saying you need to build the plane as it's flying. Sadly the plane is in total freefall, the captain has no idea what to do and everyone is hanging on for dear life.

I don't understand why if Igamane was injured he was sat on a bench, stripped and ready to play. Why would Martin assume he was fit to play? Why would HI not tell him beforehand that he wasn't fit to play?
Finally, if you were the manager of another club keen to possibly sign Igamane, would yesterday affect your decision? I know I would have second thoughts if a player refused to take to the field of play. Or at least I would be offering way less money for him.
Very unhappy about the whole incident.

Also interesting that the club say nothing about transfers in or out and suddenly RM is stating we turned down a bid for igamane. It stinks.

RM has very been clever and deflected the heat off himself. He knew fine well that Igamane is close to a move and had asked not to be involved. Any competent manager would have removed Igamane from that situation. RM was desperate to save his own skin due to another inept tactical display and then asked Igamane to go on even though Igamane was promised that he would not be involved. Its a comedy show and Martin took great pleasure telling the media half the story so that the heat would be taken off him and his inept managerial reign. Now Igamane has to go regardless because Martin threw him under the bus. It would not look good if Igamane stayed now. Martin has turned the fans against Igamane. The ball is now firmly in the buying clubs court. Expect a low ball offer now with an undisclosed fee. We were well warned that Martin's man management was poor and that he would blame the players in the media. That's all he has done after every game. Martin has to be the most incompetent manager we have ever had. A competent manager like Smith or Ferguson would never have allowed yesterdays situation to happen, the player would never have been in the squad.

Deflect deflect deflecting the Russel Martin way. They guy is an imposter and has a system that won't work here never worked at Swansea never worked at Mk dons and in the end didn't work at Southampton but aye it will work at Rangers ??♂️.

And now we will get stung getting the fee we wanted for hamza, total incompetence.

All the headlines today are about Igamane and not about Martin and another poor result. Martin has played a blinder. The majority can see right through him thankfully.
A question for SWS, can you still see through me or have you finally saw through Martin?

The only Fact we know is Iga said he was injured. Martin has clearly chosen to use it to spin a narrative in every interview.

When was the last very good English manager? One that actually won trophies regularly?
Russell Martin is a waffle merchant of the highest order.
All he has proven is that he is a PE teacher at best.
Hopefully the board make the correct decision to move him on asap before we have one the worst seasons in recent history.

Sandy Row, if you ever read all of my posts you would know that Russell Martin was never my choice to get the job, although i always did say he was in the running ?I was prepared to give this rebuild time but we have to see some sort of improvement and we're not seeing any and tbh we can all see there's big problems in the dressing room and Russell Martin looks to have already lost a big part of the dressing room ?.

This matters not, if Igamane was injured PRE match like he said he needs to tell the management team which he clearly never and not coming on when asked he should never kick another ball for Rangers, end off.
25 Aug 2025 11:33:28
It was during the game, pre sub warm up star not prematch. But yes if he's faked it and refused then should take all that's coming to him. Martin has still used it to create a narrative tho without stating facts.

Look I know we don't want Martin but imagine it was a manager we liked and then have the Iga discussion. No-one puts an injured player on the bench. everyone was saying the injury and visa were just ruses to deflect from the fact he was leaving.
Iga was on bench and he was sent to warm up to come on. from what I saw he did very little warming up and even Neil McCann mentioned on TV that he was just standing in the corner not doing even any stretching.
so if he was injured in the pre-match warm up why did Iga not tell anyone and if he did why did no-one tell Martin. I know he is arrogant but he isn't going to put a player on who is injured as that does him no good when he is already on shaky ground.
My main question was why he was in the squad at all when he was being transferred. I suspect that the transfer isn't near conclusion; supposedly we turned down a bid 2 days ago. Iga wants to leave. and isn't willing to play in case he gets injured. However he is still our player and should have wanted to come on.
I know it is a case of Martin is wrong in everything but I can't think of any logical reason why he would want to put an injured player on; one coming back from injury yes but not one who is injured. didn't watch the presser but it seems obvious at the time that Iga was down to come on and then didn't so if I was a journalist I would ask why. then Martin is too honest there is no doubt.
25 Aug 2025 11:53:06
Cool Kaiser, I thought is was pre match, but he still should has said without taking his place on the bench.
25 Aug 2025 12:06:23
End of? Says who? Why would you saying end of be taking as definitive after you have got it badly wrong again?
25 Aug 2025 14:08:14
Angus if u didn't watch the presser then how can u defend what he said in the presser and criticise the journalist? Martin was asked if he was injured before and he said no, obviously he wouldn't have him in the squad if he was. He said Iga said he felt injury in warm up ( before sub not pregame) . Then immediately went on about trust, transfers and Dessers attitude to manipulate the narrative. If there was an injury then it's no story but he used it in each presser. Try maybe listening to any of the interviews before defending it next time mate.
