Well, yesterday was another inept display from both the players and management team.
Players - half arsed.
Manager - I don't honestly know.
Tactically all over the lace.
St Mirrens first goal came from a long throw on the edge of the Rangers box.

Second half we had a similar opportunity and the ball ends up back at Kelly before we lost it!
Confidence is shot and instead of taking a calm touch, nearly every ball is fired long or hopefully up front.
The exception being a wonderful midfield splitting pass from Dio for Raskin goal.

Agree2 Disagree0

Can't argue with any of that my friend.

Raskin, Diomande are the best permanent players we have by a mile.

I have to admit, Diomonde has grown on me, and he is definitely a player.

My only issue is that his class is clearly evident in Europe and games against the tims, but the types of games like yesterday, we don't see that. Could it be it's because the rest of the players around him are so half arsed in these games it's affecting his way of playing? Is it just coincidence that when the team are all on it, he's on it? What do I know?

Sunshine my advice to Diomande is get out of this league and away and play with the big boys mate, say it again believe Diomande will have a better career than Raskin.

Sunshine I would blame the disjointed nature of the team in games like yesterday.

I would totally agree with that Asa ?I think both raskin and diomande will make our club big money in sales in the not too distant future ?I also agree with you sunshine as i was critical at times on dio domestically as our league at times didn't suit him and his style of play as he was easily knocked off the ball and didn't seem to like the rough and tumble of our domestic league ? But he's a good technical midfielder who without question is a talent ??? Some of dio's performances especially in europe have been superb and raskin has been easily our best player since coming back into our starting 11 after his injury issues ?Nico is a superb midfielder that we can build a team around, obviously depending on how long we can hold onto him ?.

Raskin would be my captain next season.

27 Apr 2025 10:50:11
Yip, I would agree Asathor!

In recent games against the tims we had a game plan, and the players knew, and carried out, their duties. This style of play was also evident in most games we played in Europe where all the players played the way they were instructed.

In games against teams like St Mirren, Motherwell etc, where the opposition go in hard, and out muscle us, the majority of our players cave, and they are all over the place.

IMO, we need a team with strength, where our players do the bullying and are not out muscled, sprinkled with a mixture of skill and speed. And just as important, that group of players need to have a footballing brain, so they know, and carry out, the instructions our coach is instilling into them.

I don't know if anyone seen the part of the game when Ferguson shouted "they just don't listen"? When your team doesn't listen it usually means they don't respect the coach, or they just don't have it in them to do the job given to them.

The majority of this bunch will never help us win the league again, and if we can, they need to be moved on. Players like Diomonde and Raskin will help us become champions, but that's it!

Diomande and Raskin in a good side that is well drilled would be a joy to watch. The passes that they "misplace" 9/ 10 is because no others are on their level. How some say Diomande is a poor player on here has always baffled me. He's a technically excellent CM.

27 Apr 2025 13:30:19
Just seem to be going through the motions to me, which is absolutely unacceptable mph.
Dio and raskin will go to another level with the right players around them that's for sure.

27 Apr 2025 14:26:22
Diamonde was rubbish yesterday lost count how many times he gave the ball away misplaced passes etc.

27 Apr 2025 15:04:55
Rice gave the ball away 10 times.
Dio gave the ball away 12 times.
Raskin gave the ball away 13 times.
Rice had 79% pass completion.
Dio had 83% pass completion.
Raskin had 84% pass completion.
