Duberry signed a new deal with Brighton and is going on loan to the Championship.

01 Sep 2026 12:09:39
Sky Sports reporting it just now.

01 Sep 2026 12:23:11
Good as that will stop all the talk of him and let us concentrate on who we could really be getting.

01 Sep 2026 12:32:08
We're not getting anyone else after Kelsy imo.

01 Sep 2026 12:32:42
Don't think Bloom was ever going to sanction a deal to allow Duberry to come to us, especially on loan.

01 Sep 2026 12:36:21
Big Blue Jim, he's probably still coming to us. Brighton were only willing to loan him on the basis he signed a new deal, as his existing deal was running low.

01 Sep 2026 13:02:10
We are out of Europe, why would you send him up to us if we can't offer European competition? It's the main sell. They will view the Championship as much better step for their player with no Europe.

01 Sep 2026 13:09:37
Same reason Spurs sent Moore up to become a man and get used to ruff and tumble and develop a winning mentality.

01 Sep 2026 13:16:32
Kelsey will be it. We are dragging it out for a reason, imo. Announce it as late as possible, cause they have nothing else in pipeline.

If we keep Raskin and Gassama and sign Kelsey, won't be a perfect window, but I'd definitely say we are stronger than we started it.

01 Sep 2026 13:55:34
3rds a winning mentality now. 😉😇

01 Sep 2026 14:15:57
Moore may have got some rough and tumble, as you say, but I'd question if he developed a winning mentality. We bottled it last year, not any sign of a winning mentality whatsoever.

01 Sep 2026 14:25:54
Probably worded it wrong. I meant he came to an environment where a draw isn't good enough or seen as a positive result like it would be at most clubs, and also having to deal with intense pressure if you don't perform in front of a big crowd.

01 Sep 2026 14:40:30
Why would Tony Bloom, who has complete control over Brighton - and runs a fantastic set up - send any Brighton player to us when he is a major investor in Hearts? One of our biggest rivals, same as he doesn't send Brighton players on loan to other EPL clubs.

01 Sep 2026 14:48:16
If that is the case, then he shouldn't be anywhere near Hearts. Using his affiliation to hamper us in any way, sort of form, is corruption.

01 Sep 2026 14:50:14
SirGeorge, because he is a businessman (and degenerate gambler) and if the deal makes sense, the deal makes sense.

01 Sep 2026 15:02:50
Has Bloom loaned any players to Hearts?

01 Sep 2026 16:36:43
AK7 a degenerate gambler that has a net worth of £1.3 billion? Not a chance he would send a player on loan from Brighton to Rangers or Celtic as long as he is continuing to fund Hearts - and as a businessman of that worth the profit from any loan deals from Scottish clubs would not be of any interest to him.

The Brighton players go on loan to Championship clubs or overseas, ideally to the Belgian club he has a financial interest in

01 Sep 2026 16:51:06
Surely Brighton and Bloom will arm Hearts with any players surplus to requirements he can.
