If he's impressing Martin, that's a good enough reason to stay well clear. Could be a future investment, but that's not what we need right now.

Wee need a proven finisher. Wee just signed Shankland, which everyone wanted. The problem is we don't have players to put it to the strikers. We need 2 wingers, a right back, a backup left back, and an attacking mid before we even consider a striker.

With respect, we could do far worse than trying to get Vardy in on a free as cover for Chermiti. We know he's a goalscorer. Shanks will score if he gets the service. I'm hoping Yokota & Driouche will provide good old fashioned wing play, & I'm certain Shanks will get off the mark.
I'm gutted for Chermiti though, for him as a player, & for us missing out on what could have been a great transfer fee to help buy quality for 1st team.

Don't think Shankland is overweight, John, or he wouldn't be on park, one of those players like McGinn, Dalgalish who look heavy.

Shankland is huge. He has to be in the box to have any impact. Stick him in the penalty spot and feed him the ball.

Glad John said it, because Shankland looks overweight to me, perhaps he may be nursing a niggle which may be stopping him training as hard as he should, or perhaps the stress of playing for US is taking him past kebab shop on the way home, washed down with a few beers lol.
