I hope Sunshine is saying exactly that as he always seems to be clued up even if we don't always agree.
Surely you can see how a 40 year old defender would cause us to play with a deep backline, and leave lots of space between midfield and back 4 for low block teams to have so much space to transition into. If our MF then sits deep to keep that space, then forwards are isolated.
If, on the other hand, we play a high backline then we rely on a 40YO Ramos to get back and cover quickly. That isn't happening.
Think Souttar, with Butland in goal, sort of scenario, and you will see what it was with them. It would be worse with Ramos.

Helander was slow as a week in the jail and could play a high line. Slow defenders can get away with it if they are at a high level positionally and Ramos is one of the best CBs of all time, Thiago Silva played at the biggest level at Chelsea till he was about 40 in a high line.

I get it's a rumour, that's not the part that's frustrating, it is the fact that people think it's a good or great signing. He is 40 and retired.
