At a west end restaurant that I won't name, but owners have connections with Rangers and had Dan Purdy in earlier meeting with Tyler Diblings representatives. Heard that we are enquiring about a loan after looking like missing out on Moore, this would be our recruitments own Moore signing. One to watch.
02 Aug 2026 23:49:13
Did he not move to Everton for big money? Wouldn't be against this, but I'd still favour Cerny tbh.
02 Aug 2026 23:59:09
Signed for Everton in 2025 for 35 million, mate.
03 Aug 2026 00:04:17
Thought that, mate, cheers. đ
03 Aug 2026 00:27:12
He's not played much, I don't think, mate, since making the move.
03 Aug 2026 00:39:35
Leipzig chasing him permanently. He'd be a very good loan signing, but I want permanent signings. Hate that we have not locked down wing positions since Kent.
03 Aug 2026 05:58:19
Back to Everton, our scouting is suspect if this is as far as we can see.
03 Aug 2026 06:14:39
CalB, we may not be able to fork out any relatively big fee for any permanent new signings without selling a few for decent money first mate. âšī¸ After reading the post from EHL last night, that's what I'm taking out of it, so unfortunately for now it may well be loans to bring players in that we'd probably want permanently. đ¤

Good luck to Moore in Germany. That's a great move for the kid for his development.
As for us, I really don't get why it's a loan deal on a winger. Why can't we scout and find guys on a permanent basis.
And why does it have to be England we sign these players?
We made a huge mistake in Koppen leaving.
We could have been getting more players like Igamane.
03 Aug 2026 07:08:57
Alex, I think it's this week that Koppen starts his role at West Ham, so will be interesting to see how their transfer business shapes up.
03 Aug 2026 07:17:01
Agree with all of these points, getting fed up of developing the loans & having nothing at the end & I 100% agree we shouldn't have let Koppen go. Have to say, after United game, I'm a little less optimistic, but I understand we have a lot of new guys & it may take a bit of time for them to get to grips with the football & the club.
03 Aug 2026 07:30:10
EHL, Koppen had a tremendous scouting set up. People can complain but Iggy and Jefte both made us good money.
And they were from places we would never have been scouting before.
And look at us now, back to loaning guys from England.
I believe he'll do very well at West Ham.
03 Aug 2026 07:31:59
SirWalter, yes, I see that being the truth now, given how much the rumours have dried up. Hopefully we can move a few out shortly.
Be surprised if we get anyone in before Thursday.
03 Aug 2026 07:35:47
Not a rumour, it's early days, but by god, do we look average. Some of the dung we are being linked with doesn't give me much hope either.
03 Aug 2026 08:15:55
I agree, Alex, and it wasn't just players he had an eye for as he hired me, lol so obviously knows his stuff.
03 Aug 2026 08:25:51
We really need 2 starting centrebacks.
We really need 2 starting wingers.
And starting replacement for Tav.
N somdy to back up commensurate n yes early days but games come thick and fast.
So we really do need to get the finger out on
And off the park or we will be lucky to survive in the Conference League.
Cause team to me looks no better than last season bar Shanks n Devlin.
Still to see the new lad.
But we are severely lacking on the pitch.
03 Aug 2026 08:30:33
Getting rid of Koppen was a huge mistake. We don't seem to have much of a proper plan at all now. Very disappointed by Stig and whoever else is involved now.
03 Aug 2026 08:30:45
Is our game over in Poland on Thursday on live on TNT or wherever, guys?. đ¤
03 Aug 2026 08:37:26
Think it's on Premier Sports.
03 Aug 2026 08:38:08
I also rated Koppen. Would have liked him to stay, as I think he was just getting started.
03 Aug 2026 09:00:07
Guys like Koppen don't hang around at clubs and just look at his cv? He was never a longterm appointment and chases the money.
03 Aug 2026 09:05:30
UK TV & Streaming: Rangers FC holds the primary UK broadcasting rights for this qualifying round fixture. The club is expected to announce shortly whether the game will stream directly via RangersTV or if the rights will be sub-licensed to a UK broadcaster such as Premier Sports or the BBC.

Seems like wingers have become the new strikers. Rare as hen's teeth.
However, although I understand fans' frustrations, there's lots of 'sign permanent wingers' without any names being suggested. When we try to be ambitious and fail, fans criticise. When we get loans, fans criticise. If we use what we've got, guess what.
We're not a big fish anymore, and money isn't always the issue.
Also, I think our season starting well before the window closes may be the main issue. Some players will be holding on for the best deals available, and we may just have to wait until the big guns have made their picks.
03 Aug 2026 09:27:21
Clement and Koppen were a duo we should have fought to keep. However, I know the club at the time was a shambles.
03 Aug 2026 09:27:47
I wasn't concerned a week ago about transfers incoming, but now, in the last 48 hours, it seems like we're really not in a good place.
Hopefully the situation changes fast.
03 Aug 2026 09:35:02
You've got to love the 'hindsight club' - should have done this, should have done that. Should never have let him go, should never have brought him in. Remember for every Iga and Jefte there is a Cortes and Proper.
03 Aug 2026 10:33:27
Bears, that's how recruitment works, not every signing is a success. Cortes got injured 3 times after just returning so who knows how he'd of been, looked decent before the first one & Propper was a scapegoat from our fans, he wasn't the greatest but Souttar was just as bad as him that season.
Koppen got players in pretty cheap compared to Thelwell & who whoever's in charge, I mean, we are linked with a winger who played League One last season who will cost upwards for ÂŖ6 million. I think it was a mistake not to hire another DoF at this point.
03 Aug 2026 11:10:17
I always follow what EHL adds on the chat as I think he's got great knowledge about our club and level headed with players. đ He mentioned months ago about we could spend roughly 8 million sorry if figures are wrong, to match FFP. It's looking this way and the lack of out goings has restricted our main targets.
Can I ask if the club went ahead and signed players out with our budget with 49rs money what would the fine be like or transfer Ban? We seem to be in a sticky situation for recruitment and improvement is needed asap. Unless out goings happen soon.
03 Aug 2026 11:48:07
Aye, BearsBear, most of those posters were saying it at the time also.
03 Aug 2026 13:10:16
Should remember too that Koppen brought in Cerny and that the two players you mentioned made ÂŖ16million for the club (and we were robbed for Igamane). He at least had us looking away from the English Championship for players as he identified that they were not good value for money, something we have gone back to since Thelwell and his Motley Crue took over.
If we want to talk about Rangers DNA and ex players involvement, that would be a good place to start. Get more Scots involved and use our foreign ex players to identify targets early.
03 Aug 2026 14:12:38
Ehl, get that cv to him at West Ham.
