We all know we're chasing the signature of a right winger and names getting mentioned are cerny, cozier-duberry and markelo and even zaha has been mentioned although he's not a right winger. 🤔
I see mcinnes is giving Gassama a chance to nail down the left wing position and has set out challenges to him, he clearly rates Gassama. 🤔 Regarding our problem right wing position, if it was between cozier-duberry or markelo, who do we reckon is the better winger and therefore would be the better signing for us, between the two. 🤔

Personally, mate, I'd go with Cozier-Duberry. I think he would be harder to get than Markelo though.

Ideally both, honestly. Long season ahead, and I am not sure I can go another season with the RW position being so poor. But if I had to choose, I would pick Cozier.

We need right footed right winger and left footed left winger, barring Cerny back, a traditional winger hitting byline and getting crosses or cut backs in the box would be far better.

Duberry simply because he has a bit more first team football under him. Haven't seen either play to make a proper judgement.

GJD, totally agree. Look at our 4 forwards. Shankland and Miovski are instinctive strikers, wanting chances in the box. Naderi and Chermiti, big lads as well. This winger that cuts in has a time and a place, but not in a McInnes 442 imo.

Totally agree as well. Was actually a little disappointed to see Antman leave because he was superb for Ga Eagles, played in that role, and I think he might have come good. Sterling and McCrorie aren't going to support an inside forward type the way Rommens can support Curtis and Gassama, and that's fine if the width comes from the winger. That was Antman's game, and we didn't use him like that. He was cutting inside onto his weaker foot and running into cul-de-sacs, and was really a waste of a jersey being asked to play like that, not his fault.
James Tavernier was never good enough defensively for it. Best he ever was was when he had Candeias in front of him. He didn't post the same numbers as Cerny or Sima, but he contributed to a more solid team. Whittaker and Hutton is another combination that springs to mind.
Kent and Barisic worked when Tavernier and Candieas were on the opposite side, so it doesn't have to be totally balanced. I'm likely judging it on the fact I'd replace Gassama and Sterling, which doesn't necessarily mean Rangers feel they need to replace them.
There does definitely need to be competition/cover for Rommens and two more wingers though.
With two up front I'd rather have traditional wingers. We don't need wingers cutting inside to provide a goal threat the same way if we go with that kind of system. Curtis and Antman on the right would have been more reassuring to me than Gassama and Curtis on the left with just Rommens there. Rommens is the only full back we have that has the attacking quality to play that role, so it's a bit unbalanced at the moment as it stands, but I'm sure there'll be a plan.
Aasgaard can, to an extent, cover the left side, but he's not going to set the world on fire. Like Bajrami, who's also a decent player, he suffers for not really having a natural role in the team if it's what we're expecting from McInnes. We shall see, however. He knows better than we do, and I'm looking forward to tonight. I've maybe just played too much Football Manager lol
