I have heard thru a few folk that Fergie himself wants to come? But there's other factors at play! That's all I've been told. So I don't really have much to share.
Maybe other more established itk folks can help, that's if they can be arsed talking about this subject again.
Tbh I'm a bit tired of it.

MrRangers, if it was only one out of the two I'd actually rather have Dahl ? cheaper, younger, and think he may actually be better/become better than Ferguson! Added bonus, we should make money on him also in the future.

As much as I like Connor, we aren't getting 8/10 mil for a player that's done very little with us. Is he even a cert to start for us if everyone is fit? I don't think he is. He could certainly turn into a player worth that amount, but let's be honest he isn't worth that just now, imo.

RWN, you're very right. Financially, it makes way more sense buying Dahl. Dahl seems to be calling us out by name via the media in Norway. Another Dahl selling point is the ceiling on him. Dahl has way more ceiling than Lewis. Mostly because of age, height, and physicality that Lewis doesn't have, plus there are more goals scored by Dahl.
I can understand the club and fans wanting Lewis in the door. But if we are looking at it coldly with no emotion, then Dahl makes financially way more sense. I just hope we don't lose out. There'll be many in for JHD.

Regularly on here but not posted for years. I would take that Ferguson - Barron swap in a flash. It's not just what Ferguson brings as a player; it's his leadership qualities/love for the club/his understanding of the club's history and standards. He is Rangers through & through.
Are there players who are better value for money? Yes, there will be, but if Lewis wants to come back, he will know that it comes with a huge responsibility on his shoulders.
Fans have been crying out for someone who is a real bluenose who is good enough; well, we have one out there and would love us to go and get him! That lot will be wound up just hearing his surname!
Just my opinion!
So for me it's a no brainer!
