Just heard McClean and Patterson are confirmed for next season, hearing we have also secured our key midfield target for next season from a club in Scandinavia
Can anyone else ITK confirm this?
Also reaffirming my previous post regarding Raskin and Chermiti, the club have multiple big teams interested in both, min combined fees will be at least £36mil
The club have already started talks with Fernandez regarding a new contract
All great business IMO
16 May 2026 08:44:05
If we somehow manage to keep Fernandez, at least we're doing something right somewhere.
16 May 2026 08:44:58
Must be about a £25M sale for Chermiti then, Raskin's buy out clause can't be over 10-15?
16 May 2026 08:46:33
Mclean, yes, he's the type of player/profile we badly miss (a proper Rangers man from a proper Rangers family), also a scheme kid from the circuit in Cambuslang, something every Rangers team needs, ie Ferguson Ferguson Ferguson. ?
Patterson, no thanks, he's injured more than Roofe.
16 May 2026 08:57:17
Patterson is not good business, it's complete madness to get a right back that's never fit.
16 May 2026 08:57:46
Chermiti 25m
Raskin 15m. He's worth more, but won't sign a new deal, so it's sell or value starts going down.
Fernandez 20m
Diomande 8m
That's the bones of 70m we are rumoured to be bringing in for these players alone. I would imagine 40m from this would be added to funds to rebuild the squad again over the next 2 windows, but it needs to be spent more wisely, that's last season.
That's without Aasgaard and Gassama being sold, who are both apparently available as well.
The 49ers do this at Leeds, sell a load and bring in others with half that money and do it again the next season. Seems that's what they want to do here.
16 May 2026 09:19:41
AK, how do you know Raskin has a buy out clause?
16 May 2026 09:21:22
Correct, John, it's lost the site a lot of info over the years.
16 May 2026 09:24:53
It's 2 early in the morning.
16 May 2026 09:28:41
That key midfielder may be Hjerto-Dahl or Silas Anderson, hopefully. ???⚪️?
16 May 2026 09:35:29
Really hope your right mate, but can't see us getting anything like 25m for Chermiti. He's not even worth what we paid for him. And with awful PSR rules in England now, apart from the really top clubs, who's going to pay that?
Top clubs in Europe will pay top dollar for players under 22 who hit double digits for goals in any league in Europe. In the modern data driven era, it draws the attention of big clubs, so 25m isn't too much to ask considering his deal was 11m total to join us.
16 May 2026 09:42:04
There is absolute zero chance of 25mill for Chermiti. Zero! imo.
16 May 2026 09:47:54
There was a midfielder being shown round the other day, wasn't Hjerto-Dahl or Silas Anderson?
16 May 2026 09:55:24
MuscatIn, actually in the modern data driven world goals scored isn't actually a priority metric for most recruitment teams when identifying developing strikers.
16 May 2026 10:02:59
Not a priority, EHL, but under a certain age, scoring over 10 goals alerts some of the bigger teams around Europe could be why Porto and Benfica are being mentioned in regards to Chermiti now.
16 May 2026 10:06:34
20m Chermiti 15 Raskin. Let's do it.
16 May 2026 10:09:09
I can't get behind any rumour/link to Patterson. I get, as a club, we make horrendous decision making, but imagine going into a season with Sterling and Patterson as your two RBs, you may as well start every game with 10 men and save the wages on two less players in your squad.
16 May 2026 10:22:08
Honestly, MuscatIn, it wouldn't, and I'm not saying I agree with it BTW.
They'll be monitoring his XG stats more than anything else, as they are more interested in his ability to get into goal scoring positions than how many goals he scored.
It's a weird quirk of the modern game, but as bonkers as it sounds, but putting the ball in the back of the net has become a secondary consideration when scouting young strikers.
There's some good interviews with Matthew Benham, the Brentford owner, where he explains it.
If I remember, he picks out Beto at Everton as top striker because of how good his XG is, even though his goal return is terrible.
16 May 2026 10:29:05
Chermiti has had a very good season if u ask me.
I think he's a cracking player, he'll have some season next season if we can keep him one more season. I'd say right now his value is EUR20m.
I'd say Raskin is the same.
16 May 2026 10:31:53
If that's the case, considering how many chances he gets, his xg must be very high, which would push his value way up. 25m definitely isn't over the top.
16 May 2026 10:32:51
Ehl, so would Chermiti score well in data driven stats?
Might just be a fan's way of looking at it, but the eye test v data slot of fans would say he's terrible, but in xg per 90 he outperforms Shankland on
g/per90
Xg/per90
G/A/per 90.
16 May 2026 10:37:01
Yeah, that's why he's moved for big money already, MuscatIn, and why he's on a lot of clubs' radars.
16 May 2026 10:42:38
I wouldn't say uh e is terrible. He is young and learning his trade.
I think a lot more to come.
I would like to hold onto him.
Unless a stupid bid of over 20m comes in.
16 May 2026 10:47:21
Burt, How's Chermiti terrible, deary, dear man.
Hope that was Dan Neil, Drew.
16 May 2026 10:54:41
My star, I never said I think he's terrible. I said a lot of fans do or have, until the last few months. I like the big guy, just wish he would have had a Shankland to help him, but hindsight's a wonderful thing.
16 May 2026 10:58:10
Chermiti has every attribute to become a very good striker.
The truth is, the service to him has been shocking most of the season, and most of the time he's up there with nobody near him to help him out at times.
We have wide players who can't cross a ball, and midfielders who like to sit in behind the defence as a sweeper, near enough.
Give him better service and options on the park, he'll score more goals.
Never thought I'd say it, considering how he started the season, but he's actually a very good player.
16 May 2026 11:05:47
Sorry, Burt, never read it properly. Did now.
16 May 2026 11:06:26
Maybe after another season he could be that, but currently don't think he's anywhere near making us that. I hope I'm way wrong.
16 May 2026 11:25:34
No worries, My star, it's hard to get my exact point across in text form. ?
16 May 2026 11:31:30
Sell before buying will be the plan.
16 May 2026 11:44:43
Muscat, your valuations are a bit of the top you do also know we wouldn't get all that money upfront either? We will not get 25 mill for Chermiti this summer, that's for sure.
We wouldn't get anywhere close to 70 for those.
16 May 2026 12:08:31
Like you, My star, I hope the midfielder that was getting shown around allegedly is Dan Neil. ?
16 May 2026 15:14:20
Think Chermiti definitely has potential & I often forget how young he is, but agree he's fallen victim in a similar way Dessers did, poor service from midfield & wingers. I feel most strikers could score goals for us if the service was spot on.
16 May 2026 17:28:04
Strom, you guys also told me last summer, I was talking nonsense and we would never spend 30m in a window or anywhere near 10m on a player and we done both things ? ? ? Have a little faith.
