According to Ben Jacobs Rangers are about to make a €5m bid for Akpe Victory a 19 year old Nigerian CB from Zalaegerszegi.
He's being monitored by clubs in Germany, Spain and France with Benfica named as another club in talks but Rangers are the club expected to make the offer to sign him.

Very much looks like the type of player we'd be interested in. Cheers for sharing.

Hopefully we can make a massive profit on Manny and sign an experienced leader and a young prospect.

Looks a bit outlay at 5 million. Seems we are targeting younger players.

Won't just be young players, Rohl knows he needs leadership and experience.

I hope this is another one that we get pipped to, by another club. 5 million euros for a 19 year old prospect is a nonsense. Recruitment is as big a mess now as it was under Thelwell, maybe it wasn't all his fault.

We need to start targeting players that can play in our league and can handle playing for Glasgow Rangers. ? Surely behind the scenes they must realise this by now. ?

A very odd comment, Wsl, and take on things. What if he goes on to be a top player? I've never seen him play, so I've no idea about him. The club are clear that they need to sign promising talent at this point in their career, because if they wait until they are more established players, they will be out of our financial reach and won't be able to attract them to Scotland.
I hope we have learned lessons from last year's summer transfers and bring in more experienced pros, preferably with experience of winning trophies to complement the younger project players.
