Interesting to see veerman, Djiga agent at training camp today.

15 Apr 2026 18:08:41
I absolutely expect us to bid for Djiga and I do think he will be a Rangers player next season. I'd expect him to cost £7m with maybe an extra million n add ins and a 20% sell on.

That's what I think will happen there.

Interesting to see u mention Veerman John.

15 Apr 2026 18:28:01
Veerman spat the dummy when we put him out, did he not?

15 Apr 2026 18:35:35
I'd imagine for someone else or Djiga, we couldn't afford Veerman and if Wolves go down they'll probably want to keep Djiga.

With the recruitment team and board going over too, I'd imagine it'll be a very busy week.

15 Apr 2026 19:18:21
Watp, I'm not so sure Djiga will be in their plans.

They're more likely to keep most of their squad together and hope to bounce back up rather than sell all their players and make a new team.

15 Apr 2026 19:38:58
Djiga isn't worth £7m in my opinion. If that's the price we should walk away.

15 Apr 2026 19:48:59
Exactly, Huey.

15 Apr 2026 19:19:38
Not Joey veteran who is valued at 25m. Djiga's agent is a guy called Veerman.

15 Apr 2026 20:33:02
He seems to be his biggest client, so I would take it as positive that he is there. I'd be really happy if we could get Djiga and think he would be worth around 8m. Thanks for the info, John.

15 Apr 2026 20:44:36
Huey, agent is obviously there to meet our people.

15 Apr 2026 21:32:46
Would be surprised Wolves would accept a loss on him after what some say is a successful loan.

15 Apr 2026 21:38:54
John, fair enough mate, I've interpreted u wrong, sorry.

Yeah I'd say £8m too.

They paid £10m n I think got £2m back for his loan, so £8m gives them a clean slate.

16 Apr 2026 00:12:51
He is not worth 7 or 8 mil. We should only be buying players we can make a profit on, or cheap enough, with a ton of experience, and we can take a hit.

He is neither at that price. 4+ a sell on for me. We got Mani for half of that proposed fee, and could go for 20-30, depending on who comes in for perspective.

16 Apr 2026 01:08:15
He'll be a £15-20 m defender in 2 years, mate.

16 Apr 2026 02:00:13
8 million for Djiga is crazy. Are you guys forgetting how bad he's been at times this season? He's single-handedly cost us at least 4 points, maybe more. Yes, he's been better under Rohl at times, but a few good games doesn't warrant becoming our joint second highest transfer fee for a player who probably isn't even in the top 20 centre halves of the last 20 years.

Can Dijk was cery ooor for Celtic in his first season.

Shocked when he made it to Liverpool, I couldn't believe it.

Amoruso, Gough, Butcher, Moore, even Frank de Boer all had a howler in them for Rangers.

Rio Ferdinand was a total scare at West Ham and Leeds, and when he went to Man United he just became an expert defender.

All defenders make massive mistakes in their 20-27 years, then they become solid.

Look at Pique and even Puyol was so bad he got moved to right back.

Ramos was a ticking bomb at Seville and even at Madrid he was forced to right back.

Once a defender gets to 25+ they move to centre half and u see what they're going to be.

I'd say Djiga is better at this age than Craig Moore was at same age.

Who else? Carragher. Hyppia, Ledley King.

Wood Gate, Johnny Evans, Komoany played mf cause he was too erratic and was good for a big mistake at younger age.

Djiga is going to be a monster of a defender, trust me I put my name on it same as I done with Chermiti.

{Ed001's Note - Rio was excellent for Leeds.}

Djiga is criminally underrated, beside Manny, with a good pre-season and someone else of their ilk in there that'll be a formidable partnership for seasons to come. Aye, he was absolutely shot of confidence at the start of the season, but remember he was playing under Martin, partnered with Souttar, who's been absolutely howling, and, into the mix, his full backs were a child, and the now "legs move in an ancient fashion" Tav.

16 Apr 2026 09:25:03
Ed he was a typical young centre half. Made a lot a mistakes ues he showed his class and ability but made a lot of mistakes

{Ed001's Note - at the Hammers, yes. At Leeds he turned into a top class centre half.}

16 Apr 2026 13:20:36
Fair enough, mate, I couldn't argue with that. There is £35m reasons not to lol.

{Ed001's Note - that is why they paid it, he was the key player for them.}

16 Apr 2026 14:14:27
Actually thought Woodgate was the better defender before he went to Madrid.

{Ed001's Note - I was not as impressed by him, he was quick but brainless. Also a racist thug who got booted from Boro youth because of the violent acts he was involved in as a kid with his thuggish mates. It was no surprise what he did to that Asian lad, especially linking up with Bowyer, who had previous for racist assaults on Asians.}

16 Apr 2026 15:17:18
Yea Ed he was a scumbag I had forgot about that.

{Ed001's Note - there was a lot covered up about him as a youngster, before that night happened.}
