Ally, unfortunately, I don't see us being able to afford Moore, valued at 16 million, on the transfer market.
I think that, best case, we'll get him back on loan, which would be major anyway; however, if Spurs drop to the Championship, he'll be in their starting 11 and we'll not see him again - until he's 35 ha!

I would try to buy him, then hope we get a big sale of a player. Anyone know our net spend on transfers since Cavanagh took over? I'm sure it was only something like 1m the first window.

Davie, at the close of the summer window, Cavanagh states Rangers had a net spend of 20 million pounds.
He later spent 12 million in January, with additional loan fee for Olsen, not clear re our income in January.

I never realised it was that high, John, but, thinking about it now, then yes. I'd like to see us splash the cash on Moore, but with the net spend now I doubt we will. They're astute businessmen, but would I trade Fernandez and Raskin to get Moore in? Then yes, as long as that covers Moore's fee and some to replace the players said.

Davie, Only thing I see about Moore's wage was £260, 000 yearly 5k weekly. Could have increased this year, mate.

My star then affordable. Issue being the sale price tho. I would still like us to ask the question and work out a deal which I think we will try. Unfortunate enough for us, Moore had signed a long term contract prior. Smart from Spurs tho.

There is never a set monetary value placed. Each window is unique and it depends on the opportunities that arise.

Davie, I'm like you, I would love Moore signed permanent, but probably out of our reach, but you never know, 20m over five years doesn't seem that bad, could be a couple of players leave for good fees this summer.
