Latest one from the agency guys.
Elliot Stroud LB/LM 23 years old
Contract expires 31/12/26
This is one that would fit the system EHL explained to us like a glove.

Hope this happens, this boy is a baller. ?
07 Feb 2026 18:41:31
Would this be a summer transfer? Very decent amount of goals and assists over the last couple of seasons.
07 Feb 2026 19:43:48
Looks like Dahl's value will be going up. He has just signed a long-term deal with his club.
07 Feb 2026 20:25:47
Frustrated this extension has been known about for around 3 weeks.
This affects nothing other than optics.
07 Feb 2026 20:51:36
Aph, thanks mate. I didn't know. Hopefully we can still push this one through then.
07 Feb 2026 21:36:06
If we have shown interest in Dahl, I'm sure this will not be a surprise.
07 Feb 2026 21:48:03
No problem at all, my friend. The player wants the move but is showing tremendous loyalty in ensuring the club that gave him his career get the best deal possible.
The boy is mature beyond his years and has the right people guiding him.
Remi is a great man, not just the typical agent.

Aphelion, I just looked Stroud up, mate. Transfermarket is saying LM or LW.
07 Feb 2026 23:02:27
Yes, my star, predominantly left midfield but can, and has, played LB previously.
Also LWB in a back 5.
07 Feb 2026 23:32:53
Dahl & Stroud would be tremendous if they happen. Obviously, till scarf above head, nothing is certain. ???
As always, cheers for sharing, Aph. ???
07 Feb 2026 23:40:15
This is where it said he had played, Aphelion.
LM 55
LB 8
LW 7
RM 3
DM 3
RW 2
CM 2.
He must play many positions.
07 Feb 2026 23:49:05
Likes a goal and an assist, sounds good.

A player wants a move, but signs a new deal, forcing a buyer club to pay a much higher fee than was previously thought about, but assures a good amount goes to the club which developed and trained said player. The buyer club now has to pay a premium amount to purchase said player, compared to the normal nominal fee, which equates to the player having a much reduced possible destination club unless they perform tremendously well and are in high demand, which is worth it. The buying club may look at said player in 6 months and determine that they are not worth it, which leaves said player at the current club for a longer period of time. If performances dip or injuries occur, their value drops and future clubs and destination possibilities are diminished further, leaving player, agent, and club with reduced fees and profit.
It's risky.
I saw a bottle of whisky that I want to buy, but it doesn't want me to buy it yet, so its owner makes it a deal with it to stay in its shop, hoping its value will go up and make it more money. 6 months from now, buyers look at it again and see that it's not as good as it looked before, but its price has gone up, so they decide to buy a different one. The bottle stays where it is and stagnates. 18 months from now, it's still just sitting on the same shelf and never moved, with a big price tag around its neck. Nobody made money. The bottle lost out on an opportunity of being showcased on a much bigger and better shelf, which could have made it even bigger than ever, but it chose to stay on a small shelf, never really being seen worldwide. Its value dwindled. Or it could become a sensation.

Yes, My star in the sky, he is a very versatile player.
And not injured often.
08 Feb 2026 02:05:44
Aphelion, i don't know why you are persistent that this boy Dahl is signing. I can categorically tell you, yes, we had serious interest, but this boy is not coming to Scotland. He wants to play in one of the big 5 leagues, or as close to them as possible, and feels he's good enough to do so.
And i will be more than happy to call you out on this, and let's see in summer who's proved right, because he ain't coming to us 100%.
08 Feb 2026 08:22:04
Sorry, but an extended contract affects nothing but optics. What a load of rubbish. If the boy continues to play well and makes the WC squad, it certainly will have an affect on his price tag.
08 Feb 2026 08:52:02
Stiv, i'm not sure how true, pal, and i hope not, as i'd love to see us sign him, but apparently Sunderland, Liverpool, Everton, and Lazio are all showing interest in him too. I think we will need Champs League to have any leverage.
08 Feb 2026 08:57:57
Just looked Stroud up there, 2.3 million valuation with a year left, highly rated player too, by all accounts. Would be worth a look at least.

I'd like to see us implement a structure similar to that which Koppen proposed when he was Technical Director.
If we look at the LB position, we now have Rommens (someone who hopefully we develop and sell in 2 seasons). We also have Scally from the academy, who should be looking to push for first team minutes next season.
Therefore, to compliment these, we'd ideally look to sign an experienced left back, preferably with experience in our league.
We typically play 50-60 games a season, so this approach makes sense to me.
08 Feb 2026 10:06:02
Looks a good player, strong runner with the ball, and very composed.
08 Feb 2026 10:53:01
Aphelion, I think we'll sign a few players that can play a good few positions. Rohl wants a squad of 22/24.
08 Feb 2026 10:58:16
EHL, that approach certainly seems sensible, my friend.
Koppen is a very intelligent man and definitely had some great ideas.
08 Feb 2026 15:22:48
Koppen was class.
08 Feb 2026 16:45:01
EHL, I had posted last week that Scaly is wanted by Arsenal and Chelsea.
I don't know anything about him, mate, so not tryna make out I do, but looks like he may be off.
08 Feb 2026 17:29:03
I just had a look, Aphelion, and I can't see any link to Rangers. Where are you seeing that one, mate?
