Never sure why people always link us to once upon a time proteges who didn't do anything after their initial burst on the scene. I see it similar to Lins with old players. People remember how they played at the time, and base their decisions on that.
Lingard, since a loan move to West Ham in 2021 where he was reasonably productive, has done nothin of note since. Not sure 19 in 66 games in Korea is a real endorsement. So no from me.

Hopefully not. He has a terrible attitude & isn't actually that good, plus he'd be on a lot of money too. There was a whole lot of free agents that would've been on similar money who would have been better, like Tomiyasu, who's now at Ajax (RB, CB & LB he can play).

A big no from me. We have just got the club moving in the right direction with a younger profile of player. This would be a backwards slide to the old ways for me.
These type of signings should be done in Jan only as injury cover or panic moves, like Celtic with Iheanacho. Could throw The Ox in there too, as not played a lot and rarely fit, but if they get him going, certainly will be better than the couple they have.
Im hoping the Celtic need to sign players on short term deals to end of season makes them come a cropper, when players get concerned about not getting injured towards end of season. However, we have a few on loan too.
