Fernandez has taken a fair bit of justified stick over the last few days but I felt like he commanded the box really well when Aberdeen were getting crosses in.
His headed clearance to get us up the park for the goal is superb, fair play to him.

Last night was all about getting to the final, which we've done. 'By hook or by crook' as the Manager said post-match. Delighted to be there and we can get the feet up today whilst we wait to see who our opponent will be next month.

Agree Souness, he was really dominant in the air. There was a spell where we were under a little bit of pressure and Armstrong put in a couple of really dangerous balls and he was first to everyone of them.

It just frustrates me that there was also a spell in the first half where he seemed to completely switch off positionally and Aberdeen created two or three good chances.

Its frustrating because we all know he's better than what he's showing, but he just can't seem to iron out those lapses in concentration.

The lad is just an enigma, yes he is probably one of the best at heading the ball - maybe even in the UK.

But actually defending, he is woeful. You can tell he's not a natural defender (I think he played as a striker in youth teams).

There was an instance in the 1st half (might be the same as EHL is mentioning) where Aberdeen broke and manny dropped the player and ran into the centre of the pitch giving the lad a full view of the goal. If the Aberdeen player was more switched on he could have ran through on goal.

It was beyond amateurish. I don't see that side of his game improving.

Last game v Aberdeen was the same, (mentioned it at the time), he was very dominant in the air defensively that day as well. maybe he should just do what he is good at, instead of trying to be Beckenbaur.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰ on the not so good side, he looks as slow as a week in barlinnie!!

The question is, is concentration something that can be coached into him? Thought he had a good game but as highlighted he has a mistake in him and sometimes holds onto the ball too long put himself and the team under unnecessary pressure.

Zikos I actually disagree with you a wee bit there, I think he's a decent defender. I honestly think one of his best attributes is when he's in a dual facing his own goal, he gets himself between the striker and the ball really well and regains possession.
I think his biggest fall down is that he thinks at times that he's a giant Prilo.

He just has me worried at times with his hesitation at times as I'm never confident he will do the right thing. Far prefer when he keeps it simple as he's really good at that rather than when he goes into his "I'm Beckenbauer" mode.

Although i do rate Fernandez as a talented centre half he absolutely gives you the fear at times as he takes unnecessary chances thinking it's too easy, but his talent is not a question for me πŸ€”I'm however at ease when makhanya is defending and when he's on the ball as he's superb and smooth as silk πŸ‘Œ He's very easy on the eye and i'm always confident about him πŸ‘ŒπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§I've had a go at Naderi before on here but the big fella is growing on me πŸ‘His workrate was never in question for me but i just thought at times he had to channel his running a bit more instead of running around for the sake of it and had to start adding goals and he's doing both for me now πŸ‘πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ His goal yesterday was a strikers goal being in the correct place at the right time for the tap in and his run and positional sense was terrific, to get on the end of the ball from penrice πŸ‘ŒBut like i said in my other post bouanani was the classiest player on the park by a distance and Aberdeen players whether it was one, two or three at the same time couldn't stop him πŸ‘ŒπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§.

Well done Walter, holding your hands up re Naderi. as I've said he is the new Dessers and he will score 20plus with at least ten assists

He is the knew dessers, so many do not appreciate what we have, Kelsey is also very good.

As the manager said yesterday the wingers all have to start scoring.

It's only fair to be honest John and Naderi has definitely grown on me and long may it continue mate πŸ‘πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§.

Manny was excellent fair play to him, thought Sterling was poor again.

I really like Kelsy, John, read on here a few don't, always liked what Naderi brings, both youngsters that are only going improve, I wasn't really interested in signings in January, after thinking more about it, we could be maybe be doing with a couple of experienced players, very young squad not only the team.
