I read an interesting podcast from former Scotland midfielder/forward Don Hutchison stating his biggest regret in football is not signing for his boyhood heros Rangers and it still eats at him. π€ He advises Lewis Ferguson not to pass up the opportunity to sign for Rangers if he's lucky enough to get the chance or he'll regret it for the rest of his life. π€
Hutchinson then talks about how highly he rated Rangers legendary captain Barry Ferguson and how in his opinion could have played for the top English clubs like Liverpool, Man United or any the others. π€ Hutch went on to say that Barry Ferguson was that good a midfielder, he would be worth Β£100million going by the transfer values in this day and age, in his opinion. π²π¬π§
So here's one for us all to have our say on ie. going by the transfer values of quality midfielders of today and with Barry Ferguson's undoubted ability, what would he be worth in your opinions π€π¬π§ This should be interesting π².

He was an excellent midfielder and leader, at times he hauled the team through bad patches.

If he didn't get injured at Blackburn he could have went to the top of English football sir Walter.

My star, just before we re-signed baz back from Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United had made enquiries to sign him and Barry Ferguson himself said he would have signed for Newcastle United in a heartbeat if it hadn't been the lure of going back to Rangers at the same time. π€
Baz never forgot when he smashed his kneecap at St. James' park playing for Blackburn, the fantastic way he was treated at the ground by Newcastle medical personnel as well as his club Blackburn's medics before he was taken to hospital and always spoke about that. π€
The reason i know this as Andy Bingham from Curtis insulation used to be Barry's shirt sponsor and we knew Andy and got speaking to baz through Andy and Baz told us this ππ¬π§.

I have known Barry for most of his life, For me, he is still (and by the looks of it for a long time to come) the best Rangers player of the 21st century and at today's prices he would be valued at Β£80 million minimum.
I was working at the time and I remember a strong rumour going round our sports desk and newsroom floor that Hutchison was on his way up here to sign for Rangers at the age of 30 and it was scoffed at by a couple journos who openly favoured the dark side.

Totally with you regarding how good a midfielder barry Ferguson was gyldne gut πππ¬π§On how talented a midfielder baz was i reckon in today's market he'd be worth anything between Β£60million-Β£80million π€I've said many times on here that for me baz was the best Scottish midfielder to come out of Scotland in the last 30 years bar none ππ¬π§.
