We all have probably had some gripes re the NHS in Scotland during our lives, but I've got a really positive wee story to tell about a recent experience of my own.
I went along to see the Doctor about concerns I had about my chest, and, after checking, she announced it was 4 years since I had been x-rayed. She then she gave me a slip which detailed "CHEST X-RAY OPEN ACCESS" meaning I could pick any available time and day of my own choosing without an appointment - absolutely brilliant, and full credit to the relevant people who have implemented this great system.

Jim, I try not to criticise the NHS. After a visit to my gp in 2014, they called an ambulance to the practice, and I was in hospital for 3 weeks. I spent 8 days on life support.
I had severe pneumonia and, but for the fast action of my gp and the wonderful care at Hairmyres Hospital, I wouldn't have survived. Difficult to criticise the very people that saved my life.

Can't complain either, to be fair. After no symptoms whatsoever, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer following a 'poo' test (get them done lads!) & the camera consultant told me I had cancer & best option was surgery. I asked how long to wait = 2 weeks!! From start to finish 10 weeks!!
All clear so far, so thank you NHS.

There will always be positives and negatives in any hospitals worldwide, guys, just glad to hear that 2 of our own got the treatment they needed and deserved. May I add 2 excellent posters at that. 👌

NHS may have its faults, but some wonderful nurses & doctors within it. From my experience, I only have the highest regards for them.

I've had good and bad, although not with the care, more the systems and management. Too many non earners within the NHS stealing large salaries.

All the people who work in the NHS are doing their best. The organisation is horribly underfunded and totally mismanaged.

I have only positive experiences with the NHS, and am glad our country has it.

My 18yr old daughter is going into her 2nd yr of her nursing degree, and I fear for the state of the NHS for her career.
Underfunded, overloaded, top heavy and ideologically driven by perverse, woke agendas.
Most of the staff do a great job under terrible conditions.
