I really don't understand why everyone is so outraged by Raskin leaving on loan or whatever, no one seems at all interested in buying him at our current valuation & tbh other than his performances for Belgium, what has he done domestically to warrant a move for a high fee? Nothing he's as inconsistent as Dio was & even at his best for us, he wasn't this fantastic player who is unplayable.
We should lower our valuation & sell, it's going to drop anyway & he'll more than likely run his contract down & leave. It's looking really stupid that we didn't sell him to Hull at the start of the window.

DJB, his performances for Belgium don't warrant a large fee either. He may stand out for Rangers on the occasions where he can be bothered. Other than that, NR is a bang average player.

I didn't want him going on-loan because it would only leave him with 1 year on his contract, meaning we would get even less money next season, if any at all.

DJB loan with obligation to buy would be good - as you say, his value will only decrease anyway - I feel 15m fair - good player, but imo not worth 20-25. 🇬🇧

He ain't signing a new deal with us. He ran his contract down at his last club. He'll do the same with us. I know it's the player's choice, but we seem to deal with these situations wrongly, constantly. He's never had a great season with us. If he stays after not getting his preferred move, I can't see him performing any better than he has.

Durdy, Raskin is Rangers' best midfielder by some stretch. Granted, he's had some quiet spells, but he's also been outstanding for us in spells as well. You don't start in cm for Belgium at the World Cup if you're average.
It seems as though, as soon as there's talk of a player potentially moving on, there are sections of our support who wish to downplay their importance to the team. Raskin, Fernandez, Chermiti all had it on here all summer from a selection.

Loan with option would have been crazy, he goes there plays season and then they don't want him and we are stuck with a player in last year of his contract, they either buy him or loan him with obligation to buy for £20m just like we had to do with cortes

Sounessmowzer, when was he outstanding apart from a spell under Ferguson? He's had more quiet spells than anything else. It's not about downplaying his importance to the team, it's about calling it how a lot of us see it. I always try to be positive on anything Rangers, if I can, but I can't lie and say he's been excellent, as it's just not true.
