The Team look unfit and are slow and lethargic in every thing they do. The lack fight they lack passion and aggression and that's more concerning than lacking a bit skill. We have required a new defence and a hard dominating centre back for seasons but play folk out of position and recruit players for the wrong positions.
We are a total shambles and currently a laughingstock. Based on the pre season and season to date I expect Aberdeen to dominate Sunday's game and take all 3 points and hope someone can see something positive in this that I can't.
So sad to see and I've watched a lot of Rangers over 60 odd years.

I personally don't think they looked unfit. The team looked disjointed.
I think they looked tactically confused, or a few players weren't fulfilling their roles correctly, which meant players had bigger distances to cover to put pressure on the ball.
Bigger distances being covered, bigger gaps and more exposure.
More concerning for me was our lack of quality on the ball.

I would disagree.
I don't think the team look unfit. I think many lack the desire to represent the club, and some are burdened by the pressure of playing for the club, which is probably a much bigger issue than fitness.
Yeah, we required a new defence and a hard dominating centre back, and one of our first signings was Godfrey, a hard dominating centre back. Additionally, we've signed 2 right backs, a left back, and another centre back - so 5 new additions to the backline.
We were awful last night, and we should have won the game comfortably over two legs.
Hopefully this is the wake up call the squad has needed. It won't be pretty, but we need the players who care to step up and create some much needed friction.
These are the moments that true leaders start to emerge, and DM will learn who he can trust.
It can be a turning point or it can be another dead end.
Going by DM's press conferences, I'm leaning towards turning point.

Are the players trying to get McInnes sacked?
Wouldn't be the first time a Rangers starting 11 have s*** the bed in a game after doing everything required during the week in training.

ar9, seen a photo of Shankland coming off the pitch last night and he looked pregnant! Might just be his body shape but it's not a look for a professional footballer.
Just can't lose on Sunday, if we do, it's back to Martin-like toxic amongst the fans and that won't help the new boys settle.
28 Aug 2026 11:07:18
Sorry, but how many wake up calls does this bunch need? McInnes has very limited lives left after the start of the season. I get we all don't want to keep changing managers, but this isn't progress. It actually feels worse than RM's reign.
He was an imposter, whereas DM was very much the right choice for a lot of fans, so if he can't get a tune, who can?
Obvious thing to say, but I expect the next 4 games will determine whether we're looking for our next shot in the dark.

I personally, the man for man pressing is one of the biggest issues at the moment, it's so disjointed that it's easy to expose us in transitions. The team look petrified to lose the ball for that very reason, so choose to play safe passes rather than take risks.
Continually seeing a team that doesn't want to take risks, which is causing its own downfall.
28 Aug 2026 11:38:24
Quite clearly a fake picture, mate.
28 Aug 2026 11:38:34
The wake up call should have been when we lost the first game of the season. No excuses.

Spot on EHL, DM hasn't exactly came into a ready made squad he's overseeing probs the biggest change in years at the club. Calm heads needed.
28 Aug 2026 12:34:32
Sorry EHL, but we've played the "players lack the desire to represent the club" record before.
A lot of these players have only just arrived. Surely Chukwuani, Fernandez, Naderi and Gassama should all still have the hunger and desire to prove themselves at Rangers?
Every player who started last night should have shown heart, desire and determination. If your opinion is correct and even our new signings already lack the desire to represent the club, then we have a major fecking problem with recruitment, coaching and management.
At some point, we have to stop blaming everything on players not caring and ask why the team looks so disjointed, passive and incapable of producing performances against sides we should be beating comfortably.
Players, especially new signings, don't just suddenly decide they have no heart or desire to play for a club. Yet we seem to be the only club where this supposedly happens every summer, regardless of who we sign.
Sorry, don't buy it anymore!

Well said Stiggy, apparently all these new signings have decided to join and straight away show a lack of motivation and have the wrong mentality to play for us.
Maybe just maybe the players are disillusioned at what is being asked of them by our manager or the fact that he keeps chopping and changing formation, or the fact he keeps hooking 3 players at HT every single game. Something does stink at the club and it's a manager that is out of his depth, but because he was a player and a Rangers man he should get more time.
28 Aug 2026 13:21:40
Apart from the results, that's 6 out of 7 games now that the performances have been awful. There is no pattern emerging, as should be happening with a new team. The signings have been scattergun and we can't even find someone who plays regularly to captain the team. Make no mistake, Cavenagh, Gillespie and McInnes created this by doing what some fans wanted, i.e.
Tav, Butland, Souttar and Raskin all out and a new leadership group in. Where are they, and more to the point, who are they, Shankland, McCrorie, Devlin, Godfrey, Neil? Only one of them was on the pitch at the start of the game, and he has enough issues with his own game. We are in crisis.
28 Aug 2026 13:55:51
If our manager plays the same team on Sunday, then I don't see it being a turning point, more a cul de sac, and that will only result in one outcome. Another 3 points lost.
