Current make up of our 28 man first team squad;
8 New signings.
13 Players in discussions about exits.
4 Players injured, including Godfrey who is the 9th signing.
Which leaves 3 players who were here last season and know they will be here this season - Kelly, Chukwuani and Naderi.
Is it any wonder we've not seen a settled line up and why we don't look like what we expect of a Rangers team?

Why play players who see their future elsewhere?
I know you don't cut off your nose to spite your face.
But will they give 100%? Will they go into 50/50 tackles?
I'd rather give a hungry young player the opportunity. We might just unearth a gem.

Nope, no wonder at all EHL, it's very much why late July and August is a brutal month to watch.

And Derrick needs time to work with a settled squad.

What's your thoughts on Naderi?
He's one player I'm having doubts about and I haven't seen him impose himself on a game yet, and a bit lightweight.
What's your overall opinion on him?

I would say we still need around 6/7 players to come in as well.
14 players brought in last summer.
4 players signed in January.
Albeit 6 of the above were loans.
9 players in so far this summer with another 3-5 mentioned by AC.
How can we build a base when it keeps getting turned over every 12 months.
Honestly, out of the 28 first team players, how many would you say that you would keep to build a Team / Squad around? Everyone has their own opinions, but for me, out of that 28 I'd prob be looking to say the following 11 players are my base to build on.

The remaining 17 I would be replacing over the next 2/3 windows.
If EHL is right and 13 are in discussion about leaving then get a chunk out this window and bring in 6/7 and start to build something.

Constantly restructuring and it needs to stop. I will say it again. Holding out for top dollar is costing us constantly and buying players for potential sell on profit has to stop. Buy a player to win things. Bite the bullet and take a hit this season, be transparent, and actually show us a direction.
Folks, it's okay for those in the know to highlight the changes in the background that are positive, but for most that don't see it, use the team and results as their compass. So start showing the building of a team.

How many seasons have we had this issue. I even remember under Clement we were sitting top of the league and playing well, when all of a sudden the team started dropping stupid points, rumour was certain players were told they won't be here the following season. Disharmony within any playing squad, then don't expect results to go the way the club and support want.

sco11, you are right. Clement told half the team they didn't have a future around about March, I believe.
Look what happened to us when going for 10iar. Smith told all that his future wasn't at Rangers, and all of a sudden our season collapsed when we were well on our way to 10iar. Uncertainty breeds fear and unrest.
