I also "love our fans" who just expect every other supporter to happily clap along regardless of how dire the situation is.
I mean, how much happy clapping can you do, mate, over a 13 year period without doing damage to your hands?
I'm not saying you're a happy clapper, EHL, far from it, but, come on, is it any wonder?
And just to add, I agree that the numbers being thrown about of 20m, 25m, even 30m for Fernandes et al is just pie in the sky.

I agree, Sunshine, it seems there are very few who are consistent and constructive, though.
So many swing from one level of absurdity to the other based on one or two performances.

Agreed, valuations are crazy, but one thing has been consistent. Fernandez is slow, appears aloof, lackadaisical, and gives me the fear at times. I'd take the money. He's no project at 25.

I would say Chermiti is the prime example. After a very poor start, and not scoring many goals, posters were screaming for his head and spouting how much of a waste he was. Fast forward, and after his 2 fantastic goals against them, all of a sudden, he's the next big thing with a 30m price tag on his back.
The list is very long over the years. I really think it's just down to sheer desperation as a result of what happened to us, and that many of our support lose all ability to engage in rational thinking.
It's the hope that kills us!
I don't think anyone needs to be Einstein to know what will happen if Dan Neil ever turns in his first stand out performance, eh? 🤣
I totally get where you are coming from, but we are just caught in an endless loop of repeat after repeat, and it's no wonder why so many are quick to react.

So, if we get in a title race again this year (highly doubtful), will you see the usual suspects start slapping outrageous price tags on many again? They're like excitable puppies that get totally carried away.
