Raskin has only captained Rangers around three times during his entire spell at the club. For me, that alone doesn't prove he's the outstanding leader many make him out to be.
He's scored 6 goals and registered 12 assists (not 16 goals Tav123) ?
in all his time here. For a Belgian international who is so highly regarded by many on here, I don't think those are particularly impressive numbers.
If another player had returned those stats, I think the majority on this forum would be far more critical.
Personally, I think Barron offers an even greater work rate despite having been here less than half the time and playing significantly fewer minutes.

I honestly find the love-in for Raskin a bit baffling.
I also believe Rangers can bring in better than Raskin and, in my opinion, we may already have better players in the squad now. His biggest issue for me is consistency. He'll produce an excellent performance, then disappear for a few games.
This is part of why I think our support sometimes accepts standards that shouldn't be acceptable. We become attached to players who are nearly good enough rather than demanding players who can consistently dominate for Rangers.
Back in the day, I'm not convinced Raskin would have got anywhere near some of our great midfields.
Some will not like this - but end of day it's just my opinion and I look forward to the club and team moving on.

When did I say he'd scored 16 goals?
Last season 7 goals / 9 assists = 16 goals and assists.
Season before last 5 goals / 11 assists = 16 goals and assists.
Not 16 goals (Thestigno1). ? Suggest you read the post again.

Who do you think is better than him currently, mate? I agree he blows hot and cold. But Diomande is even more inconsistent, Chukwuani has shown nothing to suggest he's better, Barron is nowhere near Raskin and we haven't seen Neil play yet to judge him.

Different type of player - granted.
But Neil will be a better player. In my opinion.
Will offer more overall to the team.
Neil can dictate the tempo of a game, wide range of passing and very composed on the ball under pressure.
And a leader to boot!
Raskin hasn't done anything - he's not going to be the miss some thin he will be.
We're not finished yet in midfield, remember, Raskin wants away and will go.
And he will be replaced.

I hope we sign players that are better, mate. I wasn't disputing that, just saying I don't think any current ones are better. I'll be amazed if Dan Neil is better than Raskin, tbh with you. It we will soon see.

I have him scoring 13 goals in total for us since he's been a Rangers player?
And around 23 assists in around 140 plus appearances.
With the level he's supposed to be.
That he's a top player in Scotland - Belgium international and the opposition he faces.
I'm not blown away by those stats.

I'm not bothered if you think he's good enough or not. I'm not bothered if he stays or not. You said he's not creative enough. All I asked you was how creative do you want a defensive minded midfielder to be, as 16 goals/assists two seasons in a row is good in my eyes.
You then started rambling on about 16 goals for whatever reason and how much you love keeping people right.

There were no leaders in the Rangers team last season. Anyone that talks about themself as a leader is actually saying they are anything but. As for leadership group, childish beyond belief. I know times change but these are red flags to a manager.

Back in the day, no Ranger player right now would get in teams if the past, and you use that against Raskin. It's time for him to leave, but I have seen some terrible takes on here this week, that is the best. ?
