So who all would be happy to see bron used as a make weight for Ferguson.

I don't see Barron as a long term starter, but love his attitude as it's what we need throughout the squad. I'm one who said we should have had Ferguson at the 2/3m stage of his career.
I'm unsure (due to lack of watching him) how good he really is? He doesn't stand out to me whenever he's been in a Scotland shirt, etc.
From the leadership standpoint he's the perfect signing.

What's Ferguson like after his knee injury? Are Neil and Charles good enough? Don't know too much about them?

I wouldn't be against it, John, if it made sense financially, ie not just giving Barron away for pennies to make it happen, as long as he had genuine value in the deal.
His association place in squad for homegrown will be filled by new arrivals.
We need club homegrown players in. Would like McCrorie or Patterson next.
Encouraging to see possible deals getting done prior to preseason. I think next week will be the busy week, window opens Monday and Gers back in training on the Friday.

John, I wouldn't be opposed to this, if the fee in addition to Barron is reasonable. Barron is a good squad player, but we need better in our first 11 imho. Given the number of games we play in a season, he could still get plenty of game time, but I don't see him as a starter in the big games.
Anytime I saw Ferguson play last season, he never really stood out, but he does a lot of the dirty work, and he's meant to be a good figure in the dressing room, and a potential captain, so could be a good deal.

I'm not overly fussed about Lewis Ferguson.

I'm not overly fussed about Barron or Ferguson.

If what you say is true about Ferguson, Der Hammer, that he's only good for dirty work & good vibes, then in no way should be spending 10 million plus Barron (Barron already does the dirty work).
If Bologna are happy for him to leave & take Barron, is Ferguson what everyone thinks he is?

I'd definitely be keeping Barron.

I really like Barron, but if it gets us Ferguson, then that's a massive upgrade.

Like a few I'm not overly excited by this. I quite like Barron. I think there's a lot he can develop with the right coaching etc.
Haven't seen too much of Ferguson, mostly when he's played for Scotland. More about his desire, hunger and connection to the club. Price has to be right.

It really depends on what valuation is put on Barron as the makeweight.
If it's only EUR5m I'd rather give them the money and keep him. I think he's going to be a right good player.
If it's the deal maker, then I'd reluctantly do it, yea.

Wouldn't be against it, John, to be honest, as I think Ferguson potentially offers more to the team.
Connor has never let us down, but just don't think he will be a first team regular. Also, as has previously been mentioned on here, he does have a desire to play in Italy.
Having lived in Italy for quite some time, I think he would be suited to Serie A.
Only concern I have is why are Bologna looking to offload Ferguson, who was their player of the season prior to his injury. Also, none of the reported Italian teams who were chasing him are now showing any interest, maybe an injury concern, but that's just speculation on my list.
