Thought about this today at work. I feel Rangers are now unrecognisable from what we were when I was growing up and even as recent as the Europa league final run. Since that run we haven't been ran the same as a club. We haven't acted like the Rangers I have known. I just feel we are miles away from what we once were sadly

You're spot on. I've been thinking the same. The culture has slowly been ripped out of the club.
I was thinking about the whole Tav debacle last night. Going through our last few successful managers, Would it have happened with Tav saying he wouldn't play to
Gerrard, Walter, McLeish, Advocaat or Souness? Not a chance in hell. And that's the problem.

100% agree, I'm ashamed of how club has treated Tav at the end. Even if he did strop a bit, the class has gone from the dealings of our club.

Reading Tav's statement, it's easy to understand how poor a captain he has been. It was all about him & what he wanted, not what was best for the team.
Let's not forget, the club made him a very wealthy man, when no one else was interested in him, would never have been heard of if it wasn't for that.

If true, how he treated new recruits & young players says it all.

Egos on both sides here - imo Rohl was looking at the team perspective and showing who has clout and Tav wanting a fairytale ending - only winner here is press who can rip into the club regarding who is right and who is wrong. Communication is key here, and obviously both parties did not have correct talks and agree to the intended outcome. Sad, in a way, how this panned out, but tbh it just shows who had the greatest power at the club, and although Tav's was a great servant (well paid to be), the shadow he cast over the club will now be removed, and hopefully, moving forward, this will be for the future benefit of the club - that's what really matters here.

Thanks for some good memories, Tav. ? Now, looking forward to the new chapter for the club without Tav's presence and captaincy being the focal point. ?

Great point, OT. Usually we have a squad with a core of good, dependable pros, who have experience of what it takes to play for Rangers. When new players were brought in, the core players would help them adjust and settle in.

Right now we don't have a core. It's going to be difficult to get that back.
Actually a lot more positive about the future now that Tav is gone, he sucked the winning ethos out of the club and normalised 2nd place.

Jasp, all these young players and new recruits have always got nothing but complete high praise for the man. On his post every single player has liked, including German new recruit Naderi who was 100% Rohl's man it that tells me he's backed up on this by everyone of his team mates.

Rohl's made an arse of this big time and theirs 100% more than meets the eye to this.

This is what I'm talking about, Bear. The identity has completely gone. It saddens me.

It's amazing how short memories everyone has, what happened with Miller and Lee Wallace etc. They didn't play for Rohl.

It is sad the way it's ended, and those wanting Rohl gone will jump on Tav's side.

At the end of the day, the manager has a decision to make, no player should dictate to any manager what he wants to do and then go in the huff if he doesn't get his own way.
