We were talking about our young player currently on loan at killie findlay Curtis earlier and how good he's been for mccann at killie and of course it's been a superb move for his development ?As we all know findlay Curtis and Mikey Moore play in the same position with some similar attributes ? Here's my question, do we think that findlay Curtis can ever/eventually be as good as Mikey Moore ? A nice rather interesting debate here fellow bears ???

Curtis is already better than Moore imo.

That's very refreshing and, at the same time, exciting to hear, John ? Moore is very talented, and imo has a very good football career in front of him, and even if Findlay Curtis is close to how good I feel Moore will be, I'll be absolutely delighted.
As hand on heart, right now I think Moore is better than Curtis, although I rate/like young Findlay Curtis, I'm just giving my honest opinion at this moment in time. ? So John, you think Curtis will have a big Rangers career in front of him. ?

I've said since the day Moore signed that it would be to the detriment of our own.
But plenty said Moore's a £20 million wonderkid who could be the difference in winning us the title & cups. How's that worked out?
I would have Curtis in the team over Moore, Gassama, Antman & Olsen every day of the week.
At least Moore can head back to Spurs knowing that we've helped his development whilst gaining absolutely hee haw from it.

Curtis has been playing on the right for Killie a lot of the time, plenty of room for both.
13 May 2026 13:58:41
In all honesty, I'm against loans, but I'd take Moore back on another loan in a heartbeat & I would fancy playing both Moore & Curtis on the wings. We have 2 wings & would have 2 very promising, energetic, confident & more direct wingers playing most weeks.

All about opinions, Curtis offers more, he can tackle and defend, Moore can't.
13 May 2026 14:35:45
John, I take it you think Findlay Curtis has a big football career at Rangers in front of him. ?

Fully agree Curtis & Moore could both play in same team & if we keep Chermiti, that would be good front 3 to start with. Punt Gassama, Olsen, Antman & bring in players to challenge both.
Mid
Sell Rasking , Diomande, as both appear to be going.
Keep Barron squad player.
Chunky verdict still out.
Defence
Keep.
Commensurate & Fernandez, the rest can go.
Goalkeeper
Butland sell to weak with ball at feet.
Kelly Keep if he is happy as understudy.
Manager Big question marks over his ability to manage Rangers, due to questionable tactics, game management, ability to motivate.

Moore is a far better player than Curtis will ever be. Now don't get me wrong, Curtis will have a good career in the game, hopefully with us, but Moore will be playing at levels far higher. It's ludicrous to say that even now, Curtis is the better player, and the reasons given are laughable tbh.
13 May 2026 15:16:50
Does the fact Curtis looks to have progressed not endorse the decision to send him out on loan?
We had players ahead of him in those positions, and given the pressure for younger players to develop at our club. I think it's been a smart move to get him regular 1st team football. Look forward to seeing him for us next season.
13 May 2026 15:32:06
Curtis should not have been allowed to go out on loan as he's better than some players who we were left with.
13 May 2026 15:37:21
Who's better between Moore and Curtis? Moore easily imho and younger.
13 May 2026 15:45:02
Bunster, Curtis wouldn't have got many minutes at Rangers, in my opinion, it was a tremendous move loaning him out, now with his experience, he's got a chance of doing what players dream about and being in a World Cup Squad.
Hopefully Barron makes his dream happen as well.

Walter has a big future, more likely in England than Rangers.
Killie think they can do a deal, he has been watched at Killie, likes of Derby, Watford, Blackburn, Sheffield, if he goes to WC, which I doubt, we will see interest.
We need to be careful and show him a genuine pathway.

Moore may well go on to become a top class player. Unfortunately, he has only shown flashes in his time here. He hasn't really made that big impact in too many games and probably has been involved in as many goals lost as scored (like Sunday). Curtis doesn't have Moore's dribbling ability but is a better finisher and crosser. He has better awareness of teammates and the defensive side of the game.
I don't think that there was room for Curtis when we brought in Skov Olsen. However, that hasn't worked out as hoped. Both still have improving to do and both will go back to their parent teams with more game time and experience. Curtis has had the bigger impact with important goals in Killie's fight against relegation.

BearAbroad, remember he's only 18 years old.
13 May 2026 18:01:04
Moore is far more capable at driving with the ball. I can't see Curtis ever being that good.
Moore will go on to have a great career in the EPL, whereas Curtis will peak in the SPFL.
Sorry to say that because I like Curtis a lot, like his drive and determination and his cavalier play.
But think Moore is on a different level.
Has anyone noticed the drills Moore does in the warm ups? It's very impressive.
And you can see why he's able to drive with such pace.
13 May 2026 18:08:25
Curtis will never go past men like Moore. However, his final product is far better, crossing & finishing off both feet. Curtis is far ahead of Moore.
