As much as I am on the fence regarding Rohl, I do feel sorry for him at the same time.
No matter what he does, he can't get more than a 45 minute performance out of this team. This is not solely down to him but this squad too.
Do we all remember the Raskin and Dio pressers from before the game. Raskin even said it was unfair when their mentality is questioned but it was down to the players to win the big one to get rid of this question, yet they continue to falter at the biggest games. So know we know mentality is an issue in this squad.
So why do I feel sorry for Rohl, because I imagine he will get the summer and pre-season with of course many, many new players coming in BUT because of how he has failed to capitalise on the great position we got into, he will be under immense pressure next season and if he drops points early then I see a repeat of fan reaction like RM got as I have seen a massive turn against him already. So I hope he has a great summer, great signings, great pre-season and we see his style start to show while pumping a fair few of the early games!

Nice post, Bigblue.

We need to recruit a new club captain that won't be shy in mixing it with opposition players and officials. Someone who can motivate and demand more from our players for the full game. At the moment there is no one in the squad worthy of that task.

Unfortunately for Rohl, he's a victim of getting us back into this title race.
If we'd limped to 7pts behind Hearts with 3 games to go without ever being in the position we were in, then 99% of the fans would've accepted that the damage was done before he came in and classed it as positive improvement with only 3 real signings of his own, so to speak.
Everyone would've been looking forward to the summer and seeing what he could do next season.
Because he got us to within touching distance, and we've ultimately chucked it over 2 games, we have a split fanbase once again.

I think it was Boyd who was talking about a game at Aberdeen, that they were winning, but that Weir and someone else were square going at each other at HT as they were wanting more from their teammates, something along those lines.
We need more of those type of characters, who are willing and able to hold the rest of the team accountable for their performances because at the minute it just looks like we have nothing but scared wee boys in that dressing room.
So I'm with you, Jasp, we need men and not boys and someone who will uphold standards and not accept what we have been shown for how many years now.
SM, I agree, it's because we got so close, and to fall short in the manner we have has definitely caused some division.

Exactly, Bigblue, we have no fight/character, think it was Weir and big Lafferty that were nearly boxing. I want to see angry men on the park when they lose, not ones joking with opposition players like big Djiga did.

Yeah Djiga smiling and joking at end of the game didn't go down too well with me. He's not going to be here next season so I'd play Souttar til the end of the season. He's been a bit ropey recently, but has played at Parkhead many times.

Well put, Souness. He's become a victim of doing better than expected and now the knives are out.
